Ted Cruz has an awkward moment at a seemingly very small Herschel Walker rally. https://twitter.com/ronfilipkowski/status/1591554857789448193?s=46&t=D0Viz4ZKSrVZLKZhWsfadg
Now that the Senate is staying with the democrats, it's going to be verrrry interesting to see which, if any, high profile republicans show up at Walker rallies. He's still an idiot, but no longer useful.
Yep. And there are probably plenty of Republicans who wanted the Senate majority, but will make the calculation that if it's off the table, they're better off without Herschel Walker embarrassing them on a daily basis.
You know, I'm tempted to suggest that Dems should just let Walker have the win so that people are reminded what kind of brain trust the Republicans are, but then I remember that's how we got Trump, and I quash that temptation.
Dear @Diacanu who does not seem to like a statement of fact, let me explain. Democracy is the rule of the majority by vote. Logically, if the majority of your voting base is stupid and votes based on the option of stupidity, then all you will get is stupid because smart will never get enough votes. This can be seen in a number of elections in america and what has happened in the republican party. It is not that there are not smart republican candidates, it is that republicans overwhelmingly are the party of stupid is good. Your intelligent candidates are losing the democratic vote in their primaries to people like Trump, MTG, Bobert, Walker, and a number of others who are actually running on the ideas that they are not intelligent like the elites. The rule in democracy is directly related to the qualities of the voters. If the voters are racist, you get racists. If the voters are prejudiced, you get prejudice. If the voters are stupid then you get stupid. This is something that has been whitewashed and white people have missed because of their entitlement. The idea democracy is tyranny of the majority is true. This is why SCOTUS was important to be the protector of the rights of the minority, because the majority could vote away the rights of the minority in a democratic, or a representative democracy, real easy. Minorities in america realize the threat because their rights rely on the court intervening if a state or the country passes a law that removes them. As a Bi/trans white person my rights have always been threatened by the majority in america. They are voting away medical treatment for GLBT people as we speak, and the problem is the courts are now siding with the majority in doing that. They have always been trying to vote away the rights of the minority to vote for this very reason. democracy can be just as bad as fascism when you see how republicans are, and you recognize they are not a small group of people which makes them quite powerful.

Ted Cruz tells people to vote 10 times for Walker. https://twitter.com/patriottakes/status/1599544945966075905?s=46&t=cGqDRQ808hCdC5saYM3ysw
Remember when Cruz blamed his trip to Cancun on one of his daughters? Spineless parenting like that tends to have unfortunate consequences
Oh there is that fucking pole. I hope for the best for the family, and there is nothing funny about what seems to be self harm in this case. I hope I am wrong and it is more benign. I also hope in this case that Ted has the strength to let his weakness take him home where he might help her.
It has to completely suck to have a father who believes you should be denied basic civil rights. Ted Cruz should be the one slitting his wrists for being such an embarrassment of a parent.
I don’t know if this is true or not but if it is… holy fucking fuck…. Ted Cruz staying in DC and not immediately going home to Texas to check on his daughter *who attempted suicide* is the most Ted Cruz thing he could possibly do. https://twitter.com/beckybunzy/status/1600520733251215360?s=46&t=1miPIMYLRc4PEVsbZbYyZA
yeah... that is pretty cold. looking at the article Fisherman's Worf posted though-"14-year-old with self-inflicted stab wounds on the arms in the upscale neighborhood" really isn't that uncommon. Clearly, Cruz is nowhere near the devoted father that Joe Biden has shown himself to be. Hardly surprised that his kid would have emotional regulation or depressive episodes then act out accordingly.
