The Russians are blaming it on a Nazi, claiming he had a Swastika on his clothing and wrote 'hatred' in Russian on his gun.

Hard to believe anything coming out of the Kremlin though, even if these things are true. Putin literally came to power in a false flag operation.

    Putin done really fucked up.

Not only is he gonna lose in Ukraine but the west is getting to test out their systems in real world conditions while sending older stocks and buying new/upgraded replacements.

Looks like the Army is replacing a lot of their M777s with HIMARS for instance.

On top of that we are spending billions to increase domestic defense production capacity.

    Much win Putin. Great job!

Pentagon budget realignment files are a magnificent source of info about what the US military is up to, what classified programs US Special Operations Command runs in Ukraine, and what equipment has been sent to Ukraine.

HIMARS and CAESARs have really shined in this war. Like us France is having to invest in boosting production capacity of the CAESAR. So again, great job Putin.

Ukraine has gone quiet on the Kharkiv front but this map put out by a pro-Russian mil-blogger doesn’t look good for the occupiers in Lyman.

Distinct possibility that the Ukrainians weren’t culminated after the Kharkiv Counteroffensive a couple weeks back but were just taking an operational pause to consolidate gains, rotate, rest and refit. This could be a phase two.

The US has enough conventional weapons and delivery mechanisms that we could hit the Russians with a non-nuclear attack that did as much damage as nuking them would do, without any of the radiation. So my assumption is that we’d opt to hit places likely to be filled with Russian political leaders with them.

My guess would be airpower and naval interdiction. You could do so with very few casualties for the West. And Russia is not really in a place where they could escalate the ground combat.

Russia hasn't been able to gain air control over Ukraine which is pretty remarkable. And their navy has been pushed back in the Black Sea after losing their flagship and having their facilities sabotaged by Ukraine. The amount that corruption has limited their forces is staggering. Indications from intellgence showed the Moskva was barely operational when they put it to sea.

    Hopefully none of this happens.

For one thing, seems pretty unlikely that Russia can even count on it's nuclear arsenal. It doesn't take many, granted, but courting a nuclear war against NATO is complete annihilation. Our shit works.

Zelensky gave a speach on Instagram discussing the situation. At the end, he spoke in Russian specifically to the Russian conscripts:

Vladimir Zelensky: "As for the situation at the front, everything is clear to us. Therefore, I repeat once again. For those who understand only Russian. If you want to live, run. If you want to live, surrender. If you want to live, fight on YOUR streets for YOUR freedom.

Everything has been taken from you. Do any of you have oil rigs? Do you have palaces? Do you have vineyards? Do you have yachts? Or some bank? What are you even fighting for? All you have is loans, to devour something in the evening and now - mobilization.

Fight for what is yours! Do not meddle in our land, in our soul and in our culture. Glory to Ukraine!"

Well, I guess U.K. conservatives are still marginally better than U.S. conservatives on at least one front ...

Snowden claimed patriotism then ended up a Russian tool. So did these guys, only to Russia right off the bat.
