As much as I like to call this show predictable (in not-necessairly-bad to good ways): She seems more underutilized and inexperienced fighting other supes than she is underpowered. In her fight with Black Noir, it seemed like she was struggling because Noir knew how to work around her powers and exploit her weaknesses a lot better than she did. Maeve knew exactly what his weakness was, so she was able to take him out with very little effort. Power-wise Starlight seems pretty close to Stormfront in power, but Stormfront knew what she was doing better than Starlight or The Female, so she was able to hold her own against both of them until Maeve showed up and she was overwhelmed. I mean, Starlight took a .50 BMG bullet to the chest and all it did was knock the wind out of her. Those things are designed to take out tanks. A normal human or most most other supes in the same situation would no longer even have a chest.
Just finished season two. Holy hell! The first few episodes were fine, but those last few were awesome!
Do you guys seriously not get the irony here? This is a perfect example of pre-“woke” and non’”woke” Hollywood. So, first couple episodes of season 1 … Both male and female were same age. But, then!!! Like most successful men, mostly in the 70s, but I’m sure it continues, they trade in the woman for a younger model. Seriously, what is the deal with 40+ year old men freaking on young girls. I mean, sure, 20 something guys are attractive, but they are not even on my radar in my fantasies.
The part about J Lo is outdated but AFAIK, the rest is correct. I mean, sure, it can be weird if someone hooks up with a person dramatically younger than they are, but so long as everybody is legal, not really anything you can do about it.
It's a real thing in general, but in the show Starlight absolutely isn't a replacement for Queen Maeve?
Says the woman who's bumping uglies with someone who routinely complains about "woke shit." Please do go on with your sincerely held beliefs.
