The existence of fringe idiots/assholes like remnants of kkk or antifa can actually be seen in a positive view to the extent we see how tiny and marginalized a group of loser they actually are in fact.

Today there is nothing even close to what could be called a movement, using e.g. 60s hippies or clan activity as a reference point.

Again, if this attack happened, the perpetrators should be found and nailed to the wall.

However, I've seen things reported that together give cause for suspicion that this story is false.

1. Smollett is only out of sight of video surveillance for sixty seconds.

2. No one, let alone a pair of individuals, is seen to approach during that sixty seconds, or to leave afterward.

3. Smollett re-emerges on surveillance "wearing the noose like a neck tie."

I would like to see the footage for #3. His demeanor should be very telling. If he was hurrying away and/or looking back anxiously, that would be indicative of what transpired in those 60 seconds. If he walks on casually, unhurried, that would indicate there is no state of fear in his mind. Also, if he didn't remove the noose around his neck once he was clear of his attackers, that would seem very odd.

It's a bit early to speculate on motives for why he might falsify an attack, although you can come up with a number of them readily (notoriety, political statement, etc.). First, we need to show that it's likely he did.

I find it odd that the alleged attackers would've recognized this actor. I have a hard time believing white MAGA-hats sit around watching Empire.

Maybe they recognized him from Alien: Covenant? I just checked his IMDb page and I can't say that I've ever seen any production he's ever been in.

hmmm....but if the suspects are also off camera for 60 seconds that could be the time during which they were attacking him. You would have to calculate how far they were away from Jussie when the 60 second blackout starts: 50 yards? 100 yards? They would have to cover that distance
prior to attacking him. I certainly wouldn't sprint in icy conditions where you could slip & bust your head open. Also if they suddenly started running toward him he would know he's in danger and react accordingly.

When I was a kid in the 70s, I just figured we went thru all that in the 60s and would remember it and learn from it, and pass it on to successive generations (who, hell, may have even figured it out for themselves). I can't express how disappointed I am that I was wrong. First time I heard my sister's kids use racial slurs, my head almost exploded. Chrissake, my sister grew up in the 60s! Wasn't she paying attention??

All they want is two things:

#1 The GPS. This gives the police the location of the alleged attack because he says he was on the phone at the time with the manager.

#2 It would confirm he was on the phone with the manager because the manager has said that he heard part of the attack. It also confirms the time of the attack.

This would help the police further refine the area and time to look for the attackers on video.

The fact that he refuses to let them look sends up a huge red flag.

It's been reported that he walked into his condo wearing the noose. He didn't tell anyone that he walked by inside the condo. He was wearing the noose when the police showed up about 40-45 minutes later.

Everything is screaming hoax.

I really want to see the video of Smollett after the 60 seconds have lapsed.

He says he was approached by two men, some dialogue was exchanged between them (indicating they recognized him), a noose was put around his neck, a chemical poured on him, and there was some amount of struggle.

If the encounter began the instant he went out of sight and lasted, let's say, 10 seconds (it couldn't have been less than that), that leaves 50 seconds. I would expect someone who has just gone through such an encounter not to have fully regained their composure in that amount of time.

Also, cell phone GPS is not all that good and might not have even been on if he knew where he was going. You do not incriminate yourself with police. If this was a white guy you would all be about protecting your privacy and not attacking the victim. You are a racist old slug.
