Bit boring and just ok overall. They can’t all be winners. The show has set such a high standard overall
Also took me a while to remember the events of The Book of Boba Fett. My initial reaction to seeing Grogu with Mando was like, "didn't he take off with Luke Skywalker?!?" (On another note, I really fucking hate what the prequels and sequels have done with the Boba Fett character.)
just gonna point out... PURGILL IN HYPERSPACE!!! the crossover between this and the other shows is going to be as convoluted as the Xmen Inferno saga
That'll be the Mando crossover in the penultimate episode of Ashoka S1. I think SWMeg offered the speculation that Ezra might become Grogu's next teacher. I'm also thinking that there'll be a lot less Din Djarrin as the Mandolorian stories evolve around Bo and likely Sabine...
I do like SWMeg and agree that Ezra would be a better instructor for Grogu. But, he has a lot to learn from Din Djarin right now and Ezra would only live a couple more decades after that. So, Grogu’s force-wielding instructor is not someone we’ve met yet.
I dunno, Luke and Ezra are only 32 right now (assuming it's now 12 ABY). There's 23 years till Rise of Skywalker and at least another decade till Kylo wipes out the Luke's school. DD and Grogu have more to their tale, sure... but damn, it's gonna be the best dark side temptation moment if Din dies. I figure he's got about as long as Pedro Pascal's contract gets renewals. (although I REALLY wanna see how they put a mando helmet on a baby yoda head)
Maybe Ezra takes in Grogu after DD dies and, in that case, he would be best to teach Grogu as Ezra went there himself with the death of Kanan.
After watching S1E3, my first thought was "So I'm going have to watch episodes to see Mando take a bath?" Did get a kick out of watching Grogu using the Force to entertain himself.
You can make Grogu use the Force. Open a new tab, you'll need to have Google as your default search engine. Do a search for "Grogu", "Baby Yoda", "The Mandalorian", or "Mandalorian" and you can make Grogu use the Force.
It was fine, but honestly the whole redemption bit is not compelling to me. Nor honestly, the whole "who gets to rule mandalore" thread. I'm waiting for them to give me a "can't wait to see what's next" angle this year
That first part of the tweet about the animal lair is spot-on. I watched that scene with a expression on my face the whole time. This episode was pretty damn horrible if you think about it, which is shocking when you look at who was behind it. But as @Ten Lubak said, they can't all be winners.
