I really don't see the point of no u and have dumb being a box AND teh baba. Isn't teh baba a dumb replacement? Dig making the rainbow Fantasy World though.
Yeah, I wondered whether I was going to have to get rid of it, but then I remembered the "You live in a fantasy world!" emoticon, and felt like it fit the board personality. I think I'll get rid of the "dumb" one, unless you want the "teh baba" one to go. It's all good with me.
I say keep them both. Dumb is, for instance, quoting a source that says the opposite of your point because you're too stupid to read. baba is just baba, and can be a term of endearment.
I don't make the decisions anymore, I'm just making suggestions. ALTHOUGH, if you want me to make decisions, yeah then get rid of the box! Replace it a mini version of (the last bit where the eyes go crazy and the arms are out) named either (t)Ed or creepy.
It wouldn't even be recognizable when brought down to 16px. Personally, I'd rather keep dumb and teh baba, because while dumb really is a comment on the stupidity of a post, Packard is right in that teh baba can be used as a term of endearment, kind of a wink-wink-nudge-nudge.
I think we've got something pretty good in place at this point. Agree, a few months and then we can reassess.

I like this system. If it looks ugly on mobile, though, I hope you can find a way to make it less ugly. Maybe just a single all-purpose icon to lead to a single all-purpose list of raters for a given post?
I think we need to implement a staggered repping system. Much like we used to have ABABA or AABAAB or whatever the fuck it was. You have to give out three rainbows for every disagree, two hearts for every No U, and an equal proportion of Agrees to Teh Babas. The other options are a free for all.
Hey, it's been well over 24 hours, time to make some more changes. I vote we rename Winner "Medal", since that's how it's being used -- not to signify a unique, thread-ending post, but to appreciate a well-scored point or well-made effort.
The box for 'dumb' is stupid. Use or (scaled down) instead. How about switching 'winner'/medal to '!!!' with an exclamation point?
Only some of the ratings I'm getting are showing up in my notifications. Is it supposed to be like that?
It might have something to do with limitations in the alert system and how it integrates with the new rep. I'll look into it.
A "fair enough"-smiley of some sort would be nice. Ah nevermind, but I am often reluctant to use "agree" despite I see that the poster makes a good point.
Having just looked at the last five or so Flashlight threads: Which rep symbol are we currently using for "This is an obvious troll, don't expect a response from me"? That one would seem useful to me.
