I always loved the irony of "stranger in my house" performed by blind Ronnie Milsap - "somebody here, that I can't see...." :( Nice cover though!

It's a hard song to get out of your head! Not a big metal fan, unless it's got the melody and pop hooks to go along with it. As far as hooky metal goes, Judas Priest had a pretty good grip on it with their classic album British Steel, the huge song being Living After Midnight, and here's a cover of that!

I didn't expect anyone could match Elvis's take on "Blue Christmas", but then I saw Willie Nelson had covered the song and had to check it out.

Another decent Hotel California (Acoustic), though people can't seem to do Don Henley well.

I wonder if his parents cracked the whip on him so he could play so well?

    Alternatively, Short Round plays guitar.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, but lately I've been obsessed with this song. Dylan cover, because nobody does Dylan better than Dylan except everyone.

I love it when Punk bands cover classic rock, they're always unique.

DOA was one of the first "hardcore" punk bands I got into as a kid, and that EP was probably one of the first records I ever bought.

The first "Punk" band I got into was The Offspring, followed by Green Day. Then I got into NOFX and Bad Religion (thanks to Sublime) etc.. I'm not a huge Punk fan, but I appreciate those bands and their contribution to rock music.

A few years back, I saw Pennywise, Bad Religion and The Offspring. The Offspring were the headliners, it was the 20th anniversary of Smash, they played the whole album and then some. It was awesome.

<cranky old punk>You only mention one actual punk band in that list, sonny! But that's a diversion worthy of it's own thread.
