Better yet, how about I show you where you called my mom a racist and a Nazi? Then we can see if @Bickendan tells you to knock it off.

No, but you often talk about how much you like and agree with Judge Napolitano. It’s not an unreasonable leap to think that you agree with an opinion piece of his you posted without comment.

    :sigh:

You also said you agree with him, so if he's claiming Trump's being treated unfairly, you by extension agree with it even if you didn't say so yourself. Don't undermine the benefit of the doubt I'm extending you.

Did you ever post what you'd prefer we call your parents? All I could find was this:
Unrelated: You're a farmer, right? Do apples typically fall far from trees? :chris:

I don't think you can reasonably make that argument that the Framers intended the only crimes against the U.S. that Congress could validly make laws against are treason and counterfeiting. I don't think either the text of the Constitution, the actual history of the country or from the writings of the Framers would support that argument. If that argument had any real-world legs, there are a lot of people unjustly in prison and even who have even been executed unconstitutionally.

I think such an absurd premise renders any further opinion from someone who thinks this way meaningless.

Can you point to where in the post this is replying to I claimed you said that?

Exactly. Hence why we bloody asked you which parts of it you found interesting/agreed with/thought were worth discussing.

So let's ask you straight up:

Do you think Trump is being treated unfairly by the FBI?

Do you agree with the opinion writer you posted, who does clearly seem to think so?

Why did you claim that the opinion writer was stating nothing but facts when clearly he was writing an opinion piece?

If not, why did you post his opinion?

This thread seems like a lot of conspiracy theory, wishful thinking, and facts that are unverifiable even if true.

The big one: Cambridge Analytica only scraped what was actually posted privately to Facebook. It wasn't a hacking tool. Bannon is not a mind-reader, though he'd definitely like people to believe he is. The idea that Bannon has blackmail material on every Republican voter in 2016 is ludicrous. The idea that just by being a registered Republican or Republican candidate in 2016-2018 Bannon and Trump definitely have extortion material on them is fantasy. It would only make sense to spy on Republican donors, but Cambridge Analytica is not where they're getting that data.

Later the thread says that Trump has NDAs for everyone at the White House (30) (some posts after saying all the NDAs were lifted (10)) and equates that to extortion material with no basis in the very next post (31).

Then (33) he conflates boxes with government docs. There were 11 line items of Classified+ documents on the warrant receipt. That was in addition to, not included in, the 26 boxes. 34-36 are wild speculation with no basis in reported or verified fact whatsoever.

And then a reminder of Putin, to ensure that nothing he says can be held to account because of course it's going to still be covered up. Puts a bow on the conspiracy theory.

And that's not even counting the insinuation (explicitly if quickly disavowed) that Trump has Epstein and the National Enquirer's blackmail material.

Yeah, I'm not going to hang my hat on any of this.

“I am a sick man. ... I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man. I believe my liver is diseased. However, I know nothing at all about my disease, and do not know for certain what ails me. I don't consult a doctor for it, and never have, though I have a respect for medicine and doctors. Besides, I am extremely superstitious, sufficiently so to respect medicine, anyway (I am well-educated enough not to be superstitious, but I am superstitious). No, I refuse to consult a doctor from spite. That you probably will not understand. Well, I understand it, though. Of course, I can't explain who it is precisely that I am mortifying in this case by my spite: I am perfectly well aware that I cannot "pay out" the doctors by not consulting them; I know better than anyone that by all this I am only injuring myself and no one else. But still, if I don't consult a doctor it is from spite. My liver is bad, well--let it get worse!

I have been going on like that for a long time--twenty years. Now I am forty. I used to be in the government service, but am no longer. I was a spiteful official. I was rude and took pleasure in being so. I did not take bribes, you see, so I was bound to find a recompense in that, at least. (A poor jest, but I will not scratch it out. I wrote it thinking it would sound very witty; but now that I have seen myself that I only wanted to show off in a despicable way, I will not scratch it out on purpose!)”

I understand, FF. I am a man of science, yet I consult not doctors because I know full well what they will prescribe, and it will be counter to everything that gives me pleasure in life. So why prolong life if there is no pleasure?

Thing is I'm talking diet and alcohol consumption, not ability to be a cunt.

I can, and indeed regularly do, give up being a cunt.

You may not believe that, but then that's because I reserve the right to be a cunt to people like you.

    Other cunts.

No-one died of being a cunt.

If they did, the world would be vastly improved.

Speaking of being shitfaced drunk, Rudy Giuliani made his appearance in front of the Atlanta Grand Jury this morning. Was anyone else surprised that he appeared stone cold sober? That's the most clear-eyed I've seen him in years. This leads me to a couple of thoughts: whoever his lawyer is these days might have made it a requirement that Rudy sober up or get some Saul Goodman type legal whore to represent him. Conversely Rudy might have suddenly realized that alcohol had turned him into a complete buffoon and that he'd been staggering around in a complete fog for the last few years and that he would rather that not be how his legacy is defined. There's also a thought in my mind that a sober Rudy might be just one more nightmare for Fearless Leader. If Rudy's brain fog clears to the point where he starts remembering stuff from the last two years there won't be enough :corn: in the world to keep up with all the :fan:

Well the fun thing is that there are so many entirely different threads. In fact, this one actually opened a whole new door:

Dude just pled to avoiding state AND Federal taxes so besides the espionage, obstruction, and insurrection things DOJ already has going, and the GA case, and James closing in on killing the Trump Org, now there's a potential Federal tax evasion investigation if they choose to pursue it and NYT already published a fuck ton of documentation

CREW sued to get Barr's memo on why DOJ couldn't prosecute Trump for obstruction of justice from the Mueller report, after successfully keeping it secret for years.

    It should be released shortly.
