The Techman Memorial Thread

I believe it is a year, or almost a year, since our friend Techman passed away and I thought I'd post a memorial thread just to remember him.

I have expressed recently my regret that many of the interesting characters of old no longer visist the board and Tech was undoubtedly one of them. We didn't get on but UI do miss him. Accordingly I shall be raising a glass for him.

I wonder how Techman himself would respond to such a thread?

Yep, a year. Storm called Flow during harvest to let him know, and it's about harvest time once again.

On a..ummm..lighter note...

At least we know that we have someone keeping a light on for us...

Techman. Wasn't he the guy that really hated gays and was a huge asshole to lots of people?



Oh well, anyway.

He was truely one of us.

I think that would describe a few others on the board, too.

Back when that kid in the Univ. of California library got tazered, I posted a comment in the thread poking humor at the situation, and Techman found it amusing enough to add it to his sig for a while. That's usually the first thing that pops into my mind whenever Techman is brought up in conversation.

Apart from our senses of humor, we didn't have too much else in common, unfortunately. Still, I enjoyed reading his posts, and I respected the fact that even though some of his opinions were unpopular with posters (e.g. his views on homosexuality), he wasn't afraid to share them and he stuck to his guns.

Tamar beat me to the Uncle Fester GIF. I'd have to wait till I got home to get it.

I don't think he hated them, just loved giving them a hard time. I remember spewing beer all over my keyboard when he was on TBBS with mostly harmless (gay dude) and MH showed a picture of himself in a pickup truck and said he looked like a perfectly normal guy, then techman said he looked kinda "skin flutey"
