You have to understand status. You have to max yourself out and go into debt so you can be an achiever. This sometimes means you cannot afford armed security. You can always rent or mortgage way above your finances if you are white.
maybe they should have forgone the car elevator in the driveway? I did some siding work on a place like that a few years ago... dude actually had an elevator at the end of the driveway for his McLaren.
