I'm not convinced that Trump has suffered a decline. That would indicate a previously higher level of cogency that I have never seen from him.

Exactly this. A declining leader, whether benevolent or despotic, is dangerous to society and must be dealt with. Pretending that what is happening isn't happening is a surefire way to get innocent people killed.

I teach, train, and write. I do not intend to retire any time soon, even though I will turn 70 this year. I like what I am doing too much, and those who benefit from my work (thousands of people, on two continents -- North America doesn't count, as I am pretty much unknown in English-speaking countries) are strongly opposed to me giving it up.

And as sort of "extras", I do humanitarian work, and work with scouts. I love all that, too.

His Chinese manufacturer has basically fraudulently altered what the actual cost of the cameras are and thus his tariff bill went from $32k to just $450

They feel emboldened to do so because the agencies that would perhaps catch something like this have been gutted and the likeliehood of getting away with it has increased dramatically
