I find it very telling that he didn't say, "I won't say,'Cancel the election, they should cancel the election,' because I have no power whatsoever to do that", but only "because the fake news will say, ‘He wants the elections canceled. He’s a dictator.’ They always call me a dictator." He appears to believe that he could call for canceling the election if he wanted to. But if we pay any attention to the constitution (I know, only liberals are that old-fashioned any more; conservatives don't feel bound by the way "things have always been"), the president has no more power to cancel elections than to stop the sun from rising.

I know it's old at this point, but: Can you imagine the reaction, either here, or on Fox or in general, if Clinton, Obama or Biden had given these exact same responses to the limits of their authority being their own morality and it being the only thing that could stop them?

Bingo, and why it's so important to keep calling them and people like them out. Not to change their minds - they're fascist supporters, they are already locked in. But because most fascist supporters are cowards who end up trying to pretend they didn't really support it, or they didn't know the things that were happening in their name. Many of them even delude themselves into believing that. These ones get to own it.
