That is sort of the problem. In life we do have to suffer through WW2 and the Nazxis to justify the creation and use of the Nuclear bomb. I am not looking to get into a debate on whether the nuclear bomb was necessary or not, but the bombings iof Nagasaki and Hiroshima would be much different if the US just did it for the fun of it.

After four years of Trump if we cull a few million Trumpanzees people might understand why it happened, whereas if we just slaughtered the ignorant children of the red now people might think that is a little harsh. In order to justify beheading the rich we have to have a little more than some bad tax cuts.

I am not saying we should have any of that, but if we are going to go there, then we do have to wait for it to actually happen. WQe cannot go down to the school to kill a teacher for sex changing a child until a teacher actually does that.

At this point I want a choice. Maybe the other side does too. I want to have a country to live in where the values that I want are put in place, rather than this back and forth bullshit. I would rather go chose an area where I can live with other people who share my ideas and values towards working together and respecting different cultures and lifestyles. For those people who want to live under religious fascism and hatred of the others, go ahead.

I would be willing to move to a place where I could live outside of the US glut of red bullshit. I do not even want to have my federal government involved in their rules anymore. I do not care enough about them or their bullshit to even want to stop them. I just want a place that is not Nebraska, Arkansas, or the bible belt. I want a place that is not MTG, Trump, or even Mitch McConnel. I do not even give a fuck about protecting their children or women anymore. Have your Christian Sharia law all day long, I do not want to stop it in your home.

All I want is a chance to have a place I consider good. Black people can get ahead and feel a part about it because it is not the shithole racist america anymore. We will pick a new name and we will make rules that enshrine your rights as a part of the community. I want a place where different cultures can be a part of our community. You cannot opush others out, but you can have a place to worship and gather to enhance your life with worship. GLBT people are respected and able to thrive in their lives along with cishet people. We could have reasonable ways to immigrate and GTFO if you want to live under religious rule, or are terrified of words like communism or socialism. If you hate your community so much that community safety nets scare the shit out of you then there is the other countries and we will set up a nice trade system.

I am just tired of living in a place where every 4 or 8 years we are having this backlash wave fucking everything up. I have no problem with people wanting to regress back into their own shit, I just do not want to have to join in because we have this huge country where so much of the people are regressive shitburgers.

So: in a month with few bright spots, here is a glimmer of hope: Team Trump’s most human failings may thwart some of their most evil plans.

Take, for instance, appointing Representative Matt Gaetz to be the Attorney General of the United States. If this is a sincere appointment — in other words, if it isn’t a head-fake to get the Senate to accept another candidate later, or a ruse to let Gaetz resign from Congress and avoid a damaging ethics report1 — it’s an example of self-indulgence thwarting malign intent. Gaetz is a buffoon. He has absolutely no qualifications to run the Department of Justice. Can he wander around firing everyone? Yes. Does he understand how the Department of Justice works in a way that would allow him to maximize its potential for abuse? No. Is he smart enough to figure it out? Also no. Is he charismatic enough to persuade insiders to help him use it effectively? Very much no. Gaetz as Attorney General will do petty, flamboyant, stupid things in clumsy ways. Some of those things will be very bad. But clown shoes are preferable to jackboots. We’d be in much more trouble if someone evil in a smart and competent way who understands how the machine works — say, Jeff Clark or Ken Paxton — took over. That would be terrifying.

I think "I'm exhausted, why can't I just live in peace with my community, all without some asshole trying to kill me for my own body choices" about sums it up.

I have to agree that I am not seeing intelligent manipulators in his picks. I do not see Trump being able to pick intelligent manipulators. I see him actually fearful and opposed to people he gets intellectually threatened by.

This does not mean it isn't possible that bad things happen as stupid does ruin things, but stupid does not set up it's own self sustained US domination force. If Russia and China have trouble keeping their people in line with their leaders, Trump is not going to be able to do so in four years with people like Gaetz and Noem.

Prediction: No matter how wildly unqualified the nominees are, Republican senators will harrumph a little, have their aides make snide comments to Politico ... and then say "gosh, I didn't really know him before, but I had a conversation with him and he assured me that he's a great guy."

The exception will be Susan Collins, who will pick a few especially egregious ones to vote against for the sake of garnering some "Hey, look at me, I'm a moderate" headlines, but only after she has assured herself that her vote will not actually change the outcome.
