Trumpite Americans, when will you finally acknowledge your leader is a joke?

I'm not talking about the black panther thing. I'm talking way, way back in the day.

It would frustrate the shit out of him, if the protests of his appearance/performance were completely peaceful. Al Sharpton was warning people today not to take the bait.

When Sharpton starts sounding like the Voice of Reason, we really are in the End Times. :bergman:

    I'm talking about this:

"Before the Revolutionary War, colonial Virginia passed a law barring black people from owning firearms — an exercise in gun control as racial control. In 1857, in his notorious Dred Scott decision, Chief Justice Roger Taney summoned the specter of black people freely enjoying the right to “keep and carry arms wherever they went.” Surely, he argued, the founders were not “so forgetful or regardless of their own safety” to permit such a thing. When black people armed themselves against white supremacist attacks following the Civil War, Southern state governments passed “black codes” barring them from owning guns."

Oh man, that should make a few trumpistas heads explode. Do they go to tulsa to bow and kiss the president's COVID covered ring to die to own the libs, or do they go to confront black people with guns invading their state capital?

I also think it is a great plan so when cops start shooting black people in Tulsa as sacrifices to god little orange hands, we can convict them when they try to use the excuse the black guy had a gun because all the black people with guns are in the capital.

I guess you'd have to ask yourself why Donnie-boy and his minions would use a Yield sign and, if so, why not include the actual sign?

My thought is some "clever" minion was trying to signal the extremists to do... well, something.

Then again, it might not be the case. It could have been a completely random (maybe OF was onto something) image that Donnie-boy reacted to. "Oh, hey, it looks like a pussy. A lot of my MAGAs like redheads, right? Maybe that'll make 'em love me!"

Bottom line: Nobody's minding the store. The bull is in the china/China (difference intended) shop and what he doesn't break, he shits on.

Said it before: Nixon redux. On steroids. And with no one, apparently, to grab him by the short ones and make him stop.

How racist do you have to be to protest a Juneteenth celebration?

It's worse, really. I wasn't old enough to really remember the Nixon administration. But, my admittedly layman's understanding of it is that, outside of Watergate, which was rightly career ending, Nixon really wasn't that bad. Even in the bad parts, Watergate, Nixon still chose to resign and save the nation the embarrassment of impeachment and removal. That alone puts him over President Trump.

There are a number of Laotians and Vietnamese who would disagree with you if they had lived past 1970. One need only look at the circumstances surrounding the peace process with Vietnam and the '72 election to see that Tricky Dick was a war criminal.

I forgot about Linebacker II, a maximum effort attempt to force North Vietnam to the peace table.

My wife used to work for a company based in Cambridge and they really wanted her to come work at the home office.

She politely told them hell no.

This^, @Elwood. For me (yes, I'm old enough to have followed the hearings on WNET all summer) Watergate came under the heading of "What else is new?"

But expanding LBJ's war into Laos, destabilizing the government of Cambodia and triggering the Killing Fields? Nuh-uh.

The only "nice" thing I can say about Der Drumpfenfuhrer is, he hasn't started a war. Maybe that's only because he spends his life on the toilet tweeting. Or he hasn't yet figured out how to monetize invading a country that's no threat to the U.S.

I don't have time to go digging for quotes to check now, but I'm sure I've seen many of Gunforge saying that if any US amendment is compromised then they all are. They'll be after Trump for this shortly no doubt.

I can't imagine being a Republican and not being at least seriously concerned with Trump's performance. Why does the rampant, completely shameless corruption look obvious to me and not to them? It can't just be my 'liberal bias,' because plenty of conservatives see it too. I just don't understand.
