Just to be a pedant, he didn’t vote for Trump, who he calls vulgar and loathsome!

Which is why he defends the Trump Administration at all costs...:diacanu:

I’m not sure I believe @Dayton3 ’s claims. He is fairly untrustworthy as evidenced by his acts of moral turpitude. For instance his hit and run, spousal battery, and “physical intimidation” of those he doesn’t like. Plus his sever mental disability probably negatively impacts his ability to tell the truth. In sum, a perfect combination to create a filthy loathesome liar.

It's Memorial Day Weekend, so of course the sacrifice of young men and women (but not trannies, ohnonono) is on Trump's mind:

Given his remarks on Ivanka, then if he's describing his son as "beautiful" Donnie J better slip some steel plate down the back of his pants, if ya catch my drift.

Ah, the sweet, sweet taste of a Flashlight dumbrep. I say "a" but there are about six or so more in various threads right now and doubtless at least a couple more before his tiny, shrivelled balls are spent for the nonce.

Wait, you support ex BNP Nazi Tommy Robinson (aka Stehpen Lennon from Luton)?

Now who was it here the other day that dismissed me the other day saying that the evidence of Fox Ness partisanship was so easily displayed by who Fox had on as representatives of Britain. @TheLonelySquire? @TheBurgerKing? I forget. But the argument was that whoever Fox has on is irrelevant because they are British and don’t mater. But here is Flashtard apeing Britain’s fringe hard right like Katie Hopkins and “Tommy Robinson”. He wouldn’t know about them but for Fox or social media. :rotfl:

It just shows you how alarming the right side of American partisanship has become. They now ally themselves with the British fringe far right instead of British conservatives. That shows you how Trump has emboldened hate over political views. It shows you what I have been constantly arguing, that the word conservative has become misappropriated by people in America who are in reality far right and in denial about it. Hell, I even argue that conservativism in American is being wiped out by a more hard light right philosophy.

No. It’s an admission he is basically a man child who doesn’t know the real world and makes shit up as he goes along .

Look, at the end of the day whatever one’s politics you still expect a certain amount of brains. Trump isn’t that and he’s surround himself with people who either supporting that with a desire for power or who are genuinely stupid.

Americans need to stop and ask why their representatives are ok politics, because it’s seeming more and more about power than the interests of the American people.

Absolutely it is. Where are the William F. Buckleys? The Allan Blooms? Today’s right-wingers don’t have the intellectual chops to process an argument that can’t be explained in a one-panel cartoon by a frog in a Nazi uniform.

I have my personal doubts as to whether conservatism was EVER an intellectual movement, but being kind, and assuming it ever was, it hasn't been for a long time.
Since at least the opposition to Clinton, its been one of desperation, existential fear, and the treachery and chicanery that come with them.

    100%

This is why I keep arguing that a great deal of people who call themselves conservative aren’t.

But the weaso have the situation on the other side, where there is mass misunderstanding if the word “liberal”.

No idea about your first paragraph. Wasn't me. But regarding conservatism being wiped out, perhaps you can tell me the difference between that and the "hard light(?) right"? I'm pretty staunchly conservative but I've got some liberal views as well.

Above all conservatives want to preserve the established order, even if that means accepting the inevitablity of gradual social change. Nobody who wants to upturn the established order and impose their own ideological framework can fairly be called a conservative, even if the ideology happens to be right-reactionary.

True again. I prefer to see Liberalism as standing on its own, without needing to be defined in relativistic terms such as “left/right” or “progressive/conservative.”

I hate to burst your bubble, but regardless of who has sat in that oval, it's ALWAYS been more about power than what's in the best interest of the American people. That goes for Congress as well.
