Vacation time for Dayton?

In addition to his constant spamming and highjacking of threads (gtard-level, as someone put it) Dayton has now taken to harassment via PM.

I’m on the verge of turning off his PM ability because of that, but I’m wondering if maybe it wouldn’t be better to impose a break from here. He seems to be spiraling out of control.

Thoughts?

Also, anyone else noticed that he hasn't been fucking up quoting since the shelter thread release where I said it seemed intentional?

Yeah, I'm fine with a ban, but since Dayton never learns and he'll continue being a prat, why not make it permanent? There's more than enough bullshit that should've gotten him tossed his first 15 days on the board, let alone 15 years.

Anyone who needs to find him that badly can look up Dayton 3 online and find a trail as long as the Great Wall of where he posts.

Eh, I don't think he's completely irredeemable, and his quoting correctly does indicate that when caught, he's capable of changing his behavior.

I'm also fine with just continuing to box up his OT posts into one big garbage thread.

He basically admitted that it was deliberate in his thread about being banned from TrekBBS.

A vacation seems warranted.

But how much changing does one person need? He's been here 15 years. He plays this stupid act and that's why he's been able to get away with it all this time.

I say ban him, let the usual bitch babies cry and be done with it. We keep doing piecemeal crap nothing will change.

But he's my dipstick for human stupidity. And unlike Castle or Tererunrun, his posts aren't filled with incomprehensible gibberish most of the time.

I don’t know that a permaban is necessary, but I do think he needs to go away for a bit to calm down. A month, possibly two.

Okay, I read the topic title, then the content. I was thinking he may have gotten a couple weeks, maybe a month, but was not expecting to him to get a ban until the new year.

But in the last few days, yeah he pretty much admitted to and looked like he was working to crap up as many threads as possible. Reading through his latest posts I was wondering why he hadn't gotten any warnings in the last few days. A while back I did find where he was banned from another board for the same stuff he pulls here. And he was able to appeal the ban, and his attitude was "I should be able to do what I want and rules aren't for me" in his appeal. Which is and has been his attitude on here and other boards.

I don't think he'll learn, I think he'll just come back and act the same way.
