You seriously deny that sometimes only war (and guns) can protect innocent life ?

    You are no doubt joking.

    or trolling

You are seriously saying killing is pro life? I see that dumb shit Arkansas education is working well for you. Sorry, but pro life means you do not kill even if others might do so. Pro life people find other ways to fight. You can make all the claims you want, but you cannot be pro life and pro death at the same time. I am not joking, and despite the fact the truth bugs you, this is not a troll.

Calling you ferret face is a troll. Pick up a dictionary some time you ignorant snowflake cuck.

You're not serious. Rick Deckard is about as antiwar as they come (even routinely blames the U.S. and British for World War Two IIRC) yet even he acknowledges the need for violence to protect the innocent.

If you are not willing to use violence to protect the innocent then you are not pro life.

    You are simply a coward.

    As you obviously are.

Wow, that was a sad troll attempt. Yes, I am serious. You may justify killing, and you may be correct, but you are not pro life when you do so. To be pro life yo have to be positive life, and you have to find another way to deal with the dangers of this world aside from killing. If that is what you wish to be then you have to change because it is not who you are. You feel killing is an answer and it is one of the choices out there. It may even save the lives of some people, but it ends the lives of others.

For instance there is a movie called hacksaw ridge made based on the story of Desmond doss who refused to carry a gun into battle during world war II. He saved many lives of the people in his platoon because he was there and did not take lives. That is a somewhat pro life person. He did make a hard choice to travel the path he did. However, he also supported a platoon that killed many people. In the end he directly never took a life and may have even saved enemy lives as he traveled that night. It is a rare case of a person who was mostly pro life doing the hard thing while others did the killing.

Oh, and you sound like a regard saying you have to kill to be pro life. Really, do you even read what you write? I would also like to note I have not endorsed being purely pro life. I have merely defined it as it is. I am not pro life myself, and I can admit it. You, on the other hand, cannot live up to their values you aspire to, and you make shit justifications trying to pretend you travel the hard path of a pro life person.

    From Jesus himself.

    Matthew 7:6

"Neither cast ye your pearls before swine".

That is, don't waste what is holy and precious on those people who are vulgar, profane and altogether unworthy.

    Fine.

Call me "anti abortion" instead of "pro life".

    Happy?

Geez, what is MPR? The "Prince" news network? At least six of the twenty stories on the Home page were stories about some dead moderately popular musician? WTF.

Still, a lot more entertaining than babaforge; more informative too: dead Prince is better fodder than stupid Arkansan.

Rick is as dogmatic in his American hste as you are in your patriotism, but he isn't off the mark here.

WWI was a waste of lives and we compounded that by bashing Germany and laying waste th their economy, allowing for Hitler to rise up during the one time in American history where we were actively trying NOT to play World Police.

If you got that from @RickDeckard and his posts, you really haven't been paying attention at all.

It wasn't the United States that did that to Germany. It was mainly the British and French who were obsessed with recouping their losses from the war.

Very clever with selective quotes and editing shootER
Don't get at all why you equate not being willing to join the military with cowardice.

If I had joined after high school in 1985 or after college in 1988 and served a tour it is highly unlikely I would ever have heard a shot fired in anger anyway.

It's very possible Dayton would've been more like the idiot girl on my first ship who was dicking around during our port visit to Manila and dropped her magazine into the bay on watch.

My duty section sure appreciated being short one armed watchstander when her quals got pulled. :brood:

Your entire posting history here is the evidence, coach.

Advocating for war, yet never bothered to serve when given the opportunity.

So a person can't advocate for war if they never bothered to serve?

    This isn't Starship Troopers.

Less than 10% of Americans will never serve in the military or related organization in any capacity. Ever. That number will eventually fall to 5% (unless something radical happens).

Are you seriously suggesting that more than 9 out of 10 Americans should not be allowed to have a voice in whether the U.S. goes to war or not?

The good thing is that most people don't fetishize war and killing like you do, so it's a dumb scenario.

    But, that's your forté.

    One percent actually.

And as shootER said, I grew up in a military town (such as the Chair Force qualifies as "military" :finger: ;) ) and not even there did we get the beating on chests and encouraging our students to sign up so soon after 9/11.

You remember Cindy Sheehan? You probably don't since you can't remember who's who among the former admins here, but her son who was killed in Afghanistan went to my high school. She didn't encourage other people to continue fighting the war...she camped out at Bush's home and did everything she could to bring up how injust this war was. That her son died for nothing and she eventually lost her marriage over it.

You being the sociopath you are will dismiss this as "just" grief of a mom, but that is what courage looks like.

    From this

    I said

Are you seriously suggesting that more than 9 out of 10 Americans should not be allowed to have a voice in whether the U.S. goes to war or not?

    To which shootER replied

If they fetishize war and the military like you do, no they shouldn't

The main way Americans have a voice in an issue is through voting.

Of course I remember Cindy Sheehan. I actually looked up information just the other day to see what she had been up to after her theatrics at President Bush's ranch.

I also remember Casey VOLUNTEERED to serve in the military presumably knowing full well the risks and what he might be asked to do.
