What evidence do you have that he had seen through the Bush administration's lies?

The Bush Administration did not lie about Iraq. Every major intelligence agency in the world believed that the Iraqis had WMDs.

Except most other people see war as a final option and usually after we've been directly attacked, not the default to "protect our interests."

Let me put it this way Anna.

Let's say 30-40% of Americans decide that the U.S. should be an ultra nationalistic, expansionistic military power and are prepared to vote for candidates for office that reflect those beliefs.

Are you (and others) saying those people should be denied their voting rights?

You seem unable to distinguish between “voting” and “winning.”

I mentioned "30-40%" because IIRC there is a general principle (sorry no link) that somewhere in that range once a political issue attracts that much support it has a substantial chance of being put into actual policy or at least partially being enacted.

And you did not answer the question for that matter.

This is a lie and you know it is a lie. Every time you repeat it, I correct you, and yet you keep repeating it anyway.

So let me get this straight.

You DO NOT blame the U.S. and British for World War Two and believe fighting that war was fully justified?

This has been explained to you several times. I believe that fighting the war was justified.

I have issues with some of the tactics used, including the use of terror bombing and nuclear weapons, but don't dare pretend that that is the same thing.

The usual aversion to murdering innocent people, which you do not share.

And of course, this is also well trodden ground so your very asking of the question is further dishonesty.

Just because someone is not wearing a uniform does not make them "innocent".

We agree on that, but if you're attempting to imply that this makes all civilians fair game, then that's a fallacy. So your post is pointless.

I've never claimed that all civilians are "fair game" or "legitimate targets"

But I believe those that directly support the war effort are.

My point is that you simply can't yell "WAR CRIME!' or "Not a legitimate target" just because civilians will be killed.

Hiroshima for example due to the relatively high number of military personnel there as well as the war related industrial facilities was a completely legitimate target for the first atomic bomb.

You're asking Dayton, who probably carries on entire conversations in his head where he wins, nods his head, and then is surprised when you don't follow his crooked and broken line of thought. So for him, when he asks these questions, it's not because he's being dishonest, it's because he's being a nincompoop.

Because he was from there, presumably. North Dakota's claim to fame in that regard is Lawrence Welk, and even then we prefer to play up the fact that Theodore Roosevelt-senpai noticed us a lot more than anything about Lawrence Welk.

Yeah, he's from here, but my "for some reason" was taking that into account. Minnesotans don't seem nearly as attached to Dylan as you would think, maybe because Dylan doesn't seem to care anything about Minnesota. Maybe when he dies we'll see the same thing.

Just wait, maybe Kevin Cramer will be North Dakota's famous person someday. :diacanu:

God damn liberals making me stick up for Ann Coulter. :bang: I can't stand the woman, but this is total bullshit. So if you're conservative, you're not allowed to speak at any university, how tolerant of the left.

I'm not sure how rescheduling her appearance violates the first amendment given time place and Manner exemptions that allow such things on public property. If it's not safe then it's not safe.

The left seems to have a small violent streak running through it. However, most of then left is for her spreading the word she is a asshole with nothing decent to say. I do have to say it is tempting to go confront the alt right teatards and cucks while they strut and taunt, but she should be allowed to speak while her followers are pounded Into the dirt while they beg for mercy. Oh and then we can arrest the violent left and nothing of value to would be lost.
