I didn't see any recent thread like this, and I figured I'd start it because sometimes we're watching something that doesn't have a dedicated thread but you might want to mention it. Well, you can do that here, or just talk about what you just watched and maybe get other people interested in it! Regardless, I just watched Night Court S03E13, "A Few Good Hens." I mention this because Bob and June Wheeler return (it's not a spoiler, it's in the episode guide description). So if you love seeing Brent Spiner play that lovable loser, here's your chance. I thought the episode was hilarious and is worth a look if you're at all interested!
Invincible is over for now, So is Harley Quinn. So is Paradise. Reacher's season finale (I think) is tonight. That leaves Daredevil and Common Side Effects. If you haven't been watching the latter, it's a good (though not unique) story, well told - but I admit I find Mike Judge's ugly animation style entirely unsuited to a drama. It's distracting. But I'm enjoying it anyway. Handmaid's Tale drops soon. Then The Last of Us. Then Andor. May check out Devil May Cry since my son is such a massive fan of the games.
I am so conflicted on Handmaid's Tale. I mean, it's excellent writing, acting, and everything, it's just that I watch shows to get away from the miserable awful world in which we currently live, and that shows does far too credible a job of portraying it's future accurately.
In @Tererune 's memory, I'm watching this ridiculous anime called "My Deer Friend Nokotan" that's been memed to hell and back last summer that I only just now got around to watching:
Been saying that Atwood nailed everything except for having Gilead begin in the Northeast instead of, say, Texas.
Right now I'm watching current episodes of The Righteous Gemstones, The Rookie, Reacher, and Dark Winds as they run or drop each week. Binge-wise, I'm re-watching the Amazon series Bosch in anticipation of the final season of the spinoff series, Bosch: Legacy. When it comes to streaming series, I'm a big re-watcher of the ones I enjoyed the most rather than constantly seeking out new ones. Since I watch them while trying to go to sleep at night, it's relaxing to revisit familiar material.
We just binged The Residence, and 7 out of the 8 episodes were brilliant. The last one was just far above usual TV average. Also, new Daredevil rocks.
