Yes, I hope this happens. Sam could even take Al's place.

The old show showed the surefire way to bring a leaper home was to simply leap someone new into the leaper, and then the leaper is in the waiting room, and bam, home.
Hell, I dunno why Project Quantum Leap didn't realize this, and just schedule rotating leapers.

Are you talking about when Al was the leaper because that was an accident.

Yeah, but then he did a targeted leap into Al to become the leaper again.
They could have just kept doing that.

They can't bring him home, the last episode says he never returned home.

This would be like Bob Newheart ending up actually living in Vermont.

My head canon is that he leapt up along his DNA into Captain Archer.

Swiss cheese or not, there is no way on Earth Sam Beckett would deliver the "baby gazelle" speech. If he did, Al would hijack the holo-emitter tech (it showed up prior to Archer!) and shoot that fucker dead.

The whole thing with some unknown force controlling the leaps could well have made them cautious of trying to exploit loopholes in the system.

"Bartender" reminded me of "All You Zombies," so I guess there is one time-travel story that makes sense.

Yes, but it was Sam ultimately who chose to keep leaping so he can go home anytime he wants.

He leaped into a nursing home janitor in "It's Always Sunny" and got stuck there.

Hopefully they bring him in at some point. I’ll give it a try, but really Bakula should be a series regular, at least in the first season.

One of the Captain Braxton actors. Possibly his shenanigans merged Beckett and Archer.

Eh, the EPs confirmed that was thrown in there because of the BTS fuckery they'd been dealing with about the way it was cancelled.

It's no more worthy of remaining canon than "These Are the Voyages".

Which speaking of, God, Scott Bakula really keeps getting the shaft in these finales, huh? :flow:

    Poster!
Well, we see a horse and wagon, a 40's car, and a futuristic spaceship in amongst all the late 20th century stuff, so he's unbound from the lifetime limit.

The Wright Brothers plane and the stage coach may be a clue that the main guy can leap beyond his lifetime.

Yeah, that could be just a monorail, but it's got a big sunlight hole shining through it.
