It is the same sort of dishonesty that has people believing the confederate soldiers were fighting for states rights and were not that interested in slavery. It is a reality that for decades it was taught that socialism was automatically a fascist dictatorship. As more information is available and the old lies and whitewashing are not imposed on fact based research a lot of educated people realized socialism is not inherently a fascist dictatorship. People started to separate the two and realize the state can run things far better than private institutions. It is also better certain things are run by the state because you can enforce equal rights. You cannot as easily step into private businesses or religious institutions and enforce equal rights.

The children are actually being truly aware and educated on the meanings of things because they are not subject to the fascist propaganda lies of the US that were really all people were allowed to see in past generations. The anger against socialism is brainwashing. We can have a debate about which systems are better run by the government, and which systems are better left to commercial or people's control. That is an argument about socialist systems and how far they should go in a society. We can even agree that dangerous things happen when you have dictatorships and a lack of democracy or fascism associated with socialism.

A more honest discussion of socialism is needed and the people who are all about socialism being evil are ignorant, manipulative, and dishonest and should laughed out of the conversation for their weakness and lack of ability to properly participate.

That would make sense to allow black people, native americans, and hispanics start new businesses selling marijuana. It is an opportunity that should not be just passed off onto the big corporations and white elite.

Since Judge judy has stuck her nose in things endorsing Mike Bloomberg of all people, I would love to see her forced to work as his assistant way back when he was doing his thing at his companies. Hearing what this guy has done to women, do you think judy would have been tolerated, or would she have been berated or fired for not being sexy enough?

I love how republicans and the dem establishment think that Bernie saying an evil dictator made litteracy a part of his rule is supposed to make people hate him. Look at the people running against him. For the warren lovers I will pull her out because she is not one of these other choices.

We have klobachar who was prosecuting black people and sending them to jail irresponsibly. We have mayor pete who ignored racism in his town's police force and participated in it. we have a guy who thought bussing was bad because he did not want black children at white schools, and it turns out lied about being arrested trying to see nelson mandela and that mandela thanked him for trying to visit him in prison. Then we have mike bloomberg. This man actually told police to stop and frisk black and hispanic people because they were criminals. He has 60 cases of sexual assault and misconduct he paid to go away.

Then on the other side we have donald trump. See his thread for what he has done.

Ok, bernie said Castro taught people to read and that was a good thing within his evil regime. I cannot even understand the cubans who are pissed at him given the persecution of hispanics that has come from all of these people. Persecution, I might add, that bernie himself has tried to fight in some instances like Trump and Obama's use of ICE on the hispanic community.

As a person who cares about how minorities are treated I could actually make a case that Bernie would be a benevolent fascist dictator to minorities and poor people. He cannot take such a position in the US, but I would actually trust him with such a position. I do not understand how they think this is going to change my mind? I don't even understand why they would think there would even be an option to support one of these other people given Bernie's presence. How is the minor offense that might come from saying that truth supposed to stack up against actual oppression and abuses?

I want to know how it is that at my most fucked up, wasted, mind warped, anger driven worse I cannot possibly pervert my mind to see how you can peddle that bullshit and then tell me I am wrong for not thinking you a complete liar or an ignorant idiot.

You've got to wonder about if/when Sanders becomes President. Given the current position of the US in world affairs it's like putting a decent, honorable person in charge of the mafia. It will be almost impossible not to compromise himself.

okay, mixed bag on this segment of your post, and here is my reasoning:
    1) yes, I believe Bernie would (from his track record so far) treat everyone equally to the best of his ability
    2) why would it be harder for him to do this in the U.S? Do you really think that "everyone" is treated equally in every country other than the U.S?
If so, you are sadly mistaken. On paper...in theory...according to official government policy....countries may claim that there is no racism
or discrimination. Boots-on-the-ground reports quite often tell a different story! You don't believe me, google it and google it hard. Gays, minorities,
different religions, etc. often face much worse treatment than their government claims - whether from the government itself or the average citizens
living & working their. A president can't just say "there's a new sheriff in town! Change your entire culture/history/mindset starting today!" wave that
magic wand and TA-DA! Everybody automatically thinks & behaves differently. Societies don't function like that no matter who is the HMIC and what
    political system they are under.

Is your country that much better when it comes to world affairs? Granted since you aren't a major player your country isn't in the news and under the microscope 24/7 365 like America is. So it's easy to Monday morning quarterback what we do when you haven't been in the game since the year 496 or so.

You appear to have some considerable difficulty in understanding that an individual is not inherently responsible for or in support of what his country does. My country could be better, worse or on fucking Mars and it wouldn't make a single iota of difference to whether what I say about yours is true.

We can have a discussion about Ireland any time you like but as I've pointed out to you previously, you raise that point not because you have any interest but in order to deflect, the same way you do when you resort to bullshit about Democrats, leftists and the like when anyone questions your support for Donald Trump.

Is the twat you're quoting complaining that Bernie is pro-drugs, or is he calling him a hypocrite for being pro-business? Because I'm sure Bernie wants those new businesses to pay appropriate taxes.

Nah, we did that a few centuries back and got us a Parliament.

Some people might be interested to consider it was the basis for Congress.

Still, I'm off to out my jack boots on and go lock up some dangerous political dissidents, sorry "psychiatric patients".

Funny, though, how the Land of the Free is so determined to get at people who tell the truth about their government's crimes and it is our public who have protested.

He's going to get a much-needed win there, and almost certainly in Florida, too.

Though his national numbers have been shrinking, I might've counted him out too quickly. He's going to get a boost from SC and Florida.

Sanders has also hurt himself with the pro-Castro talk, remains to be seen how badly.

This thing's going to stay up for grabs for a while, though I still think it will come down to Sanders and one top moderate.

He's pretty much the only credible option for Democrats who don't like Bernie. Everyone else is just staying in for ego(or in Bloombergs case personally finance) because at this point they have no chance of winning this.

Not surprised that you see it as a binary option, as you often see the world. Public control of production is very different than state control of production.

Not to mention the absurdly large difference between individual ownership and corporate ownership, which the propaganda system has somehow managed to get people to equate.

No, it won't. "Taxes go up a little, medical expenses go down a lot" is a very simple concept to understand, which Sanders has explained consistently throughout his campaigning of Medicare for All. The net effect is paying less.

Would you rather pay a $100 tax plus $400 for medical care, or a $200 tax and nothing extra for medical care?
