It is your past. I would not say this is just a British thing. I horribly pronounced a word way back when I was a young teen and it still comes up today with my family. Of course, I still bring up things in the past with them. You have to take it in context, and also remember you did it. Chup is not your friend so yeah he is going to mock you. You just have to realize chup can dish it but cannot take it so fuck with him back. Do note I said fuck with him, not whine at us like a little bitch.

Remember chup is arrogant because he is dumb as a stump and he thinks people won't notice he sticks his nose up in the air and lies about his real life accomplishments in hopes that some sort of past glory will make him right in the present.
