I’m assuming going forward with Ant-Man, some movies he’ll have bigger roles and some movies he’ll have smaller ones.:rimshot:

Just because you’re blind to it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Just because you don’t believe in something, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

So yeah, Thanos broke the avengers, all except Cap. Stark just focused on what he had and tried to push the rest of it away, hence the cabin in the middle of nowhere, but kept the picture of Pete close. Thor fell into the drinking horn. Hawkeye snapped. Hulk re-invented himself into a kinda shallow douche. Nat and Rhoadie focused on their duties. But Cap, world goes to crap and he'll be there the next day with folding chairs and shitty coffee doing what he can to make life less shitty for people.

What about people who disappeared off planes and helicopters?
Do they fall from the sky now?

What about people who lived on land that got eminent domain-ed for snap memorials?

I think if Iron Man remembered to fix Cap's shield as part of his dying snap, Smart Hulk would remember to will all the collateral damage into safe places.

But yeah, there are a lot of accidental bigamies now.

Maybe if you're on mobile or Twitter. I had a proper physical keyboard to work with, I could type the canonical term out.

It's really tapering off, so I kinda doubt it. Almost $100 million is a pretty big hurdle to clear, even if SM:FFH gives it a boost.

Don't get me wrong: I'm hoping it will get the top spot. Just sayin', I don't think it's going to make it.

But you're right: it's going to be very close.

It's not going to beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens on domestic gross, but it's definitely looking like it's going to "kick Avatar to the curb" on worldwide gross as @Diacanu said.

Still $75 million to go. I don't think it's gonna make it.

    But it came damned close.

They need to go viral and make a push for it.

    One week would do it.

Finally saw it last night. Never had a 3-hour movie go by so fast. Didn't feel like 3 hours at all. I'll probably check it out a second time and add another $10 to its worldwide gross.

I'm surprised that no one has seemed to have pointed out the biggest deus ex machina of the film. That is, the entire fate of the universe hinged on a rat stepping on Ant-Man's quantum machine thingy and hitting just the right button.

Stories often begin with plot points beyond the protagonists' control. It's not exactly a deus ex machina since we knew a simple button press on the control panel would bring Scott back; it was just a matter of who was going to push it, and after how long. My biggest problem with that sequence is that the van and equipment still exist, and the equipment is still operational.

(My favorite really-old-equipment-still-works bit is in the truly awful Battlefield: Earth, where a squadron of centuries-old Harrier fighter jets are found in perfect working order. I mean, really, was someone keeping their tires pumped up? Repainting them every now and again to prevent rust? Replacing aged gaskets and seals?)
