I forgot in the spur of the moment.

It's not like you're in the room with me so I can tell at a glance.

Dayton might have three fucking nipples for all I know.

    *Sigh*

    She meant antinomy.

    I meant no offence.

    Sorry.

And sorry if Dayton does have tripnips. We shouldn't judge. On the nips, anyway.

When I was in school for cosmo I found that a large number of the people to be poorly informed about the world and events in the political and medical spheres. Being a huge presence on social media and having made the aprentice what it was attracted a lot of people his way. If you are low political information Trump could attract you. Fashion designers are not poli sci majors.

My initial reaction was similar, pissed off, thinking that Flynn's brother being a general might mean that he expected his support for the insurrection.

But all the reporting I've read showed Lt Gen Charles Flynn, unlike his brother, has served with honor and dignity, and has never shown any indication he follows in his brother's footsteps.

Seems like someone in the military was covering up for the possible implication of bias, where if they just told the truth it would have shown none exists.

Min/max builds don't work very well in the real world unless you get enough money to cover up your flaws with.

And then, if you're an athlete, get somebody to manage that money for you.

I have looked deep into some weird and strange cults. I have even helped to make the therianthropy cult, and offered up some input to the furry cult. I have delved deep into scientology.

I think the strangest thing about cult 45/quackanon is how lacking their leadership was. When I say lacking I mean in capability, intelligence, and even going through the motions. Trump does not even seem to care that he does not have these people anymore. He never had respect for the power they brought him. A lot of these cult leaders have a mesiah complex and need their followers. Trump does not respect the attention of his followers. he would rather have rich and famous people follow him, not some rubes who think he is god.

In this way it has left the control of the cult up to people like Q and groups like the proud boys. It seems like in comparison to other cults trump has been very hands off in the theology of the cult itself. Was there anything Trump actually added to the belief system? Trump gave a bullhorn to crazy ideas like birtherism, and racism, but he did not create those things. He did not create the wackadoodle ideas of Q. Even when he had his own ideas very few people injected bleach into their lungs.

trump was a ringmaster, but the performances were made by everyone else. Maybe that is why all these seemingly smaller cults were able to get behind him. There wqould have been fighting for power if you put all these groups together, but trump never actually took power from people like Q or the leaders of the militias.

You do the work, idiot. A number of corporations have said that they’re no longer going to be donating to the Republicans who fed the flames of the insurrection. If they can do that, why can’t Microsoft? And if you’d followed the Twitter thread, you’d find a link to an article listing all the major companies who’ve stopped cutting checks to the insurrectionists.

    No u.

Also, idiot, if you had the reading skills to comprehend more than 280 characters, you'd know it has nothing to do with one party. It's politics and big business.

It seems that Microsoft hs paused its political giving in general as it does before each new Congress and is evaluating whether or not to give to those politicians involved in the Jan. 6 insurrection or who fed disinformation leading up to it, voted against certification, etc.

It doesn't seem a difficult decision to me. The politicians involved are easily identifiable by their votes against certification of the election results. They presumably can identify how much they have given directly or indirectly to those politicians in the past and how much they were scheduled to give in the future. There are plenty of other politicians they can bribe lobby on behalf of Microsoft.

I know it is angering, and we want these people incarcerated and to face justice. However, this is how the legal system has to work under an innocent until proven guilty system. Yes, these people are highly likely to return to court. This is what happens with a lot of cases. Given the mass of prosecutions, the pandemic, and the time it will take to prosecute all the rioters they are going to have to make bail or ROR them. If they keep them in jail they have less time and ability to investigate and make deals.

Everyone gets this. From what I have seen bail and ROR even happens for people who are normally abused by the system. The only thing I would exclude are cases which end up involving immigration issues.

This is the way it works, and it needs to work this way so that the government cannot destroy you by just arresting you. If you are not released or given bail then you would not be able to get to work, pay your bills, and keep things going while the trial went on. This means that even if you were not guilty you would lose a lot of things in your life. This does go beyond these assholes, and this sort of respect should be given to as many people as possible facing charges until their conviction. This is where innocent until proven guilty matters. You cannot destroy someone's life completely until they are convicted and have to go to prison.

Yes, I am well aware that even this does not mean a person will not get fired from their job.

I should also add that some people at some times might want to sit in jail and wait for trial. COVID makes things different, but when I was in there were a few people who chose not to post bail because they were going to face time and a conviction anyway. It may have been a good time for them to serve their term while the court cases went on. Once convicted the judge and prosecutor might have said time served because they had been behind bars for so long already. One of the guys I knew did not want bail because he had no place to go. Processing may have sucked ass, but you did have a roof, three meals, and you did not have to watch your back.

There is a sort of real point I want to bring up around this. For the entire history of broadcast media in the US the GLBT community and different religions and races have struggled vs private company censorship and discrimination. There was no government regulated equality spread across the airwaves where you had to see interracial couples, blacks, hispanics, muslims, gay, trans, working women, or any of a number of people who could have used decent exposure to the heartland. We still have groups like the Million moms who freak out because the halmark channel might show some GLBT christmas movies. We are on a board for a show that was known for having a huge interracial kiss and a black woman as an officer on the bridge of a starship.

It has only been very recently that our media has made any sort of steps towards including non WASP people and projects. So let us not pretend that now that they are banning angry WASPs that the media is somehow awesome and has moral values that would prevent them from doing this again. They simply see profit, and if that profit is threatened they might still cave and start discrimination against people who do not deserve it again. The white supremacists are mad because they have lost control of the censors and now feel their wrath, but we need to remember that censorship over thinking is not a good idea.

I have a really hard time trusting in media that has spent a long time on the internet looking for excuses to ban people for speaking to uncomfortable truths because they are labelled as problem children who ruin other people's experiences with their thoughts. I would much rather deal with telling a nazi to kiss off than have my speech regulated by the moderators and algorithms at twitter, facebook, and other huge media giants.
