So then what's your point? Trying to be "edgy"?
Protest is covered by the First, not the Second. That, in a nutshell, is the problem with you lot.
"Me no talk good. Me wave gun at you, you go away."
I'm in Gaston County where it most definitely is a thing, and I was born here.
How do you feel about unaccompanied old men in trench coats hanging around playgrounds and elementary schools handing out free candy?
Aren't they just exercising their constitutional rights as well?
Since open carry became legal here in 2015, to date I've seen exactly two people in public with a pistol on their hip and both times have asterisks.
The first guy was on a float in a parade, so the gun may have been part of a costume. The second guy was well-dressed enough that he could've actually been law enforcement.
I've actually seen far more people wearing fixed-blade knives on their belts since the laws restricting blade length were repealed four years ago.
Been there. In 1975 or so. Going to the local mall for movies and such. Would you mind taking some pictures next time? It seems bizarre.
Parents lived in Denver in Catawba County. It definitely wasn't a thing. Last time I was there was 2004.
Try to keep up. These guys are protesters who are also carrying guns. They are protected by both the first amendment and the second amendment.
It’s not illegal to hand out free candy.
Y'know, being legal and being an obvious attempt to intimidate through implied violence are not mutually exclusive.
Holy shit, it's like Lumbergh was a mall cop.
Yeah, if you guys could just not disrespect the place that you illegally entered, that would be great.
Didn’t say it was.
I go to Denver all the time, (the Lincoln County part, not Catawba), and you're right. I've never seen it there either. I get that you think I'm lying for some reason, but I'm not sure I feel comfortable enough to go around surruptitiously taking pictures of armed people around here to prove it to you. You'll either have to take my word for it or just go to the Wal-Mart in Gastonia and see for yourself.
So if they're hanging around outside a polling place, that's okay?
"Protesters" who are trying to play the "these are not the droids you're looking for" card and failing.
"Who, us? Trump supporters? Nah, you must be mistaken. We're just a bunch of guys who decided to stroll around downtown in this lovely balmy weather." [Now, if the thousands who claimed they would show up had actually done so, it would be a whole different event, but...heh, yanno, shit happens.]
Funnily enough, some of us manage to feel protected by the First without having to sashay around with a penis extension (or a long gun, or an AR-15) in plain sight.
Put it back in your pants. It ain't that impressive. Troglodyte.
No one open carries like Gaston!
No, that’s illegal.
When I was cashiering at Home Depot in Boise I saw one guy open carrying with what looked like a 9mm on his hip...or was that the size of his dick?.... Anyway, it was just one guy and I remember thinking open carry was okay because if someone started shooting they were probably going to shoot him first which would give me time to escape.
This is funny because it was a concept that you couldn’t grasp this summer when you were told that BLM was made up of peaceful protesters and others took advantage and started looting.
I've long said that open carry should be legal, but that you're absolutely insane for doing it.
That said, do you want a funny little personal anecdote? I went to the supermarket this past Saturday afternoon. While I was in the produce section I noticed a black woman that appeared to be in her mid-30's with her approximately 5-6 year old daughter. Mom was packing. She had a $900 pistol in a $200 holster.
My first thought was, "Good for her." My second was, that I felt safer around her than I did some bubba that hasn't bathed in three days or shaved in a week carrying his dad's .38 in a $10 holster. It was purely an assumption based on kit and body language, but I felt like she probably knew what she was doing as opposed to the bubba whose only experience was plinking beer cans in the back yard between John Wayne Westerns.
So now you're on record that open carrying is a form of intimidation?
Actually, yes. You totally are.
That may be true, but everyone who stormed the Capitol is on the no-longer-alt-right.
Bro, do you need a tuning fork? Because you're fucking tone deaf.
But enough about local law enforcement in almost every state..........
I've been playing A 440 on my clarinet for a while now... do I need to get an oboe?
Lmao you Harry Kim motherfucker.
Be a Riker and bust out your 'bone.
