Feeding yes, loading the mag can be a little quirky, the necked rounds like to bind up when you get 12 or 13 in a mag if you don't use a loader, putting pressure on the back end of the top cartridge in the mag is a must. As it stands, I'm getting .357 sig rounds for the same price i pay for.45, and its about as abundant. It's gaining popularity, at least around here.

What you need is a conversion barrel so it fits properly. Also you need to change the extractor if this was to be a self-defense gun and not just a gun for fun at a range.

This is why I've never converted my G22 to a 9mm. I'd rather any gun I want for self defense be stock and not a conversion. A life and death situation is the wrong time to find out your gun conversion isn't 100% reliable.

Agreed. Frankenguns are probably not the best to depend on.

That said, my understanding is that the only differences between a G22 and a G31 are the barrel and markings.

I wish we could get the G30S here. Some people make one with a G30 frame and a G36 slide, but I've heard this is not quite correct, and there can be reliability issues. I did buy the G30SF and it's a potent little brick, but it would be nicer if it were the lighter G30S.

Another thing with .357 sig is the muzzle blast. Round really needs a 6 inch barrel. You won't blind yourself with the fireball, but a close quarters miss may set your target on fire.

That's a backup feature not a problem. Even if you miss your target is going to feel some heat. :bergman:

Hmm. Does anyone make a .357 conversion barrel for the G35? :diablo:

Not sure how much psychological effect flash and blast have on the target, but it could be significant. I heard one theory--it's in Lucky Gunner's .357 Sig video--that this may indeed act a bit like a flash-bang grenade.

    *Googles*

Yes, yes they do. The extra barrel length might get a little more oomph out of the .357 Sig.

It wouldnt surprise me. I was shooting it at my local indoor range, and I was in the lane next to a wall, and the flash was reflecting off a laminated sign on the wall. It was actually pretty distracting.

The state is saying that if a stay is not in place by 5:00 today, they'll take it to the Ninth for an emergency appeal. The Ninth would undoubtedly grant it.

Best case is that the judge who made the ruling agrees to a stay, but puts a delay in place so that orders in transit can occur without crimes being committed.

My big orders from Grabagun have still not shipped, but I've managed to duplicate most of it from other sources, so it won't be the end of the world if they don't get it out in time.

I do have an order from Beretta that I would REALLY like to come through.

C'mon Midway, ship those Five Seven mags!

    Beretta shipped!

Damn it, Midway...you've been so fast before, get it together!

And a stay has been issued, taking effect tomorrow at 5pm. This little window of freedom closes in 25 hours.

    C'mon, Grabagun ship that order!

If neither Midway or Grabagun comes through, I will have a grand total of *zero* Five-Seven mags.

Another place shipped: I'll have Glock 22 mags! So the possibility I'll switch to that remains open...

Well, Grabagun shipped my second (smaller) order, but without the Five Seven mags.

I'm covered by the Midway order so I guess it's just as well, especially since the Midway order is for genuine FN mags while the Grabagun was for ProMag knockoffs.

We'll see how much of my first (big) order comes through.

Not sure what Grabagun is doing. They've shipped one item in each of my two orders, and have charged my card for the full amount. They better be planning to fulfill the order or refund!

And Grabagun shipped another item. I guess I'm going to get a dozen packages from them.

They may be filling orders as stock becomes available. Country's feeling a bit of a mag shortage at the moment.

    I don't doubt it!

Everything I ordered was listed as in stock, so they should've had inventory to cover my order.

I bet the influx of magazines into California has a value in the millions of dollars. People ordering $1000, $2000, or more is not uncommon, at least among people posting on a website I visit.

There are 2 local gun shops here that are just out of mags because they sold them online.

I think California has sucked up all the spare mags. Hopefully, people who have been buying them are distributing some to friends and family.

I think I've got all I'm going to get from my Grabagun order. Not sure what the legal status of shipping mags to Califonia is after 5pm today. It's still legal to buy, trade, give, import, etc. until then.

I'm kinda pissed at Grabagun because I could've gotten almost everything somewhere else at the time I placed my order. But because I had so much tied up in that order, I held off until it started looking like they were going to be slow to ship. By that time, stuff was falling out of stock. I *really* lucked out with MidwayUSA on the Five-Seven mags, otherwise I'd have none.

I only got 1 Glock 21 magazine (bought it as insurance for the two I had ordered at Grabagun), and I wind up with no spare mags for my G17 or G20 (still got the original mags that came with those, though, and I did get the 33-rounders for the G17/19). And I didn't score a mag for my HK USP .45.

    But I'm covered on everything else: G19, G22, G23, G26, P226, P229, Five-Seven, 92FS, AR-15.

Grabagun's kickin' 'em loose. More Glock 23 mags just shipped. I was already pretty covered on that score, but extras are good.

What the hell?!? They just shipped another thing (USP Compact mags, I don't even own one [yet]).

Maybe these are coming from different places, because they could've just thrown them in the same box.
