I dunno. Haven't been to one in years
Sacramento was 450 for a few hours on Tuesday.
88 lux? How much of Cali's power comes from solar?
A lot less than it did a week ago!
A friend of mine in the Bay Area said that yesterday his house's solar setup generated one or two percent of what it usually does.
Extremist transgender reveal parties
It's actually sunny-ish here today, even though the el Dorado fire (that's what they're calling it now) is only 3% contained. Nearly 14,000 acres destroyed, and that's one of the smaller ones.
Today’s color palette is “Silent Hill”
Tomorrow's is "that pit Kirk kicked the Klingon bloke played by Doc from Back To The Future into in the one where Spock was reborn".
Notice that the smoke goes out over the ocean and then back inland and is starting to reach Chicago.
^Prevailing winds always blow west-to-east. It's why all the Italian cypress trees in Santa Monica point east.
Right, but that smoke's probably traveled some 6K+ miles and is still visible. It's like when Australia was on fire and satellite images were showing the smoke over South America. That's a lot of fucking smoke.
That is just fake news. We all know smoke, and CO2, magically disappears just like COVID according to glorious leader Trump. If you would stop spreading fake news and be less gullible. Those pictures are just a joke from jesus like bones that are millions of years old, and a planet that physically seems to be older than 6000 years old.
Are you going to believe your eyes, or the orange fuckwit @Paladin kneels to. Paladin is obviously a smart guy to worship the word of trump, and by insisting on believing in science over a man who couldn't pass high school you make him seem like a complete moron.
Actually, it has gone much farther than that. Meteorologists detected traces of smoke from the California fires crossing over northern France just two days ago.
What about his welcome?
Lost in the days of yore.
Entire West Coast is on fire.
You should feel right at home. Judging by the photos, the whole coast has become a soulless ginger abomination.
Boise looks like LA used to look during the worst of the smog era.
Somehow, San Diego got lucky in spite of our own fire in Alpine and the sun's been visible most of this week.
My poor dog's still been coughing a bit, though
Western Wisconsin, 8:30 AM
After calling in to celestial tech support to remind them to turn off the "sunrise" setting half an hour ago, the sun is starting to look less flagrantly orange, but still not the right color for being this high in the sky. Perhaps they need to run a defrag if it's running this slowly?
Update, 9:30 AM
The sky is now reasonably blue and the sun has now been turned yellow. Rumor has it that it's still running on a 4-billion-year old build of Sunix. They should really upgrade to something from the '90s at least.
AQI 22 right now.
One arsonist caught:
No rain here, but the El Dorado/Gender-Reveal fire is 65% contained, and we had a 4.6 earthquake at 11:38 last night.
