Just one day after the 240th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the FBI has decided to not charge Hillary Clinton for crimes she obviously committed. This decision just proves even further how corrupt our government is. It is an abuse of justice. It also will likely lead to a lot of outrage and anger over this. Since this just one in another long chain of abuses going back at least forty years from both parties, I submit it is once again time to dissolve our chains.

Arm yourselves everyone and let the revolution begin!

Assuming you're right, @Federal Farmer, I'd say you're at minimum 20 years too early for anything to start happening. We're still to apathetic and politically divided to do anything meaningful.

A lot of people are angry this election cycle, a lot more than last time and this thing with Clinton only makes things worse. Sure I might be early. It took a while for the first revolution to start.

One of my philosophy teachers in college contended the United States didn't have a real revolution from 1775-1783.

    Why?

    1) Lack of nationwide support. As he said about one third of the populace actually supported the revolution. One quarter stayed loyal to the British govt. the rest just wanted to be left alone to farm.

    2) Lack of a radical element. Most revolutions around the world have an extremely radical element that goes around shoving people into guillotines or drowning them in rivers. Aside from a handful of incidents the U.S. revolution did not have that.

He surmised that the U.S. was way too apolitical to have a true revolution. For all the anger that most Americans feel, 75% of them will be perfectly happy if their checks arrive on time and gas doesn't cost too much.

I've heard that theory before and I completely dismiss it as utter horse shit. Our revolution changed the world and it was a revolt against the crown, despite loyalists.

He is wrong. The US revolution was probably the most profound and lasting because it was a revolt of common sense and common law (free markets and free people) against top-down hierarchical command structures based on the will of kings and nobles.

Most other revolutions are aimed at just changing the nameplates on the desks of bureaucrats as they throw out the old ruling class to put in a new one. The reason a Revolution 2.0 might happen is that the DoJ and FBI have made plain that there is an American ruling class and its not beholden to law. They can, with impunity, do things that would send any commoner to prison for life.

I don't particularly like the Clintons and I would have preferred someone else as the Democratic nominee.

But let me tell you why most of the voting public is going to ignore this or shrug their shoulders.

It's the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Republicans have spent 8 years trying to turn almost every single Obama action and decision into a major scandal or impeachable offense.

And that's on top of constantly hounding him about his citizenship and his supposed Islamic ties.

They have created the narrative that they are going to after a Democratic president for even the most trivial of things.

And they have been pretty blatant about doing it for purely partisan reasons. Like the 8 Bengazi hearings. And the congressmen admitting that they wanted to stick Hillary with something before the election.

Many people are just gonna see this as an other instance of Republicans going after Democrats and vice versa, even though this is probably a more serious issue than anything Obama ever did.

If there is going to be outrage about every single thing then that simply numbs people to real offenses.

If nothing else happens on this front I predict it will be a non-issue by November.

No due process at all, no charges, no special prosecutor, no grand jury, no trial, no nothing. She committed a crime and went Scott free.

I am about as surprised as the sun coming up in the east this morning. Then again the US is in love with criminals! Al Capone, The Sopranos, John Gotti, The Kennedy Family, etc.etc.etc.
Hillary is only giving us what we want! We reap what we sow folks.

Do you understand what due process means? Maybe in your senior civics class, you'll learn what it means when somebody is not charged with a crime.

She wasn't charged not because she wasn't guilty, but because of her status and connections.

Yes, that is pretty much how things work. If you have connections (or money to rent connections) you walk. If you don't, you are fucked. I have no idea if justice is bought and sold in the rest of the world, I only know how it works right here in the US. But I would assume it's the same everywhere. Here in the US we like to present ourselves as a different breed of cat (democracy and justice and all that) but that is rarely the case.

She hasn't not been charged yet. The FBI doesn't charge people. Prosecutors do.

She just almost certainly won't be charged.

    You're welcome. :)

You can certainly have that opinion, but you are incorrectly blaming a lack of due process. First, there was a process, one that involved a law enforcement investigation and a review by prosecutorial authorities. Second, due process protects us from wrongful imprisonment, so it's a meaningless concept regarding somebody that authorities decline to prosecute.
