I agree with you. Any job that entails toting a weapon - especially with a likelihood of using it - should weed out employees who demonstrate an inability to handle weapons. It shouldn't take a felony to initiate this action either. So on the subject of police reforms IMHO there are many ways to skin a cat. But the first step should be (no matter how difficult it can be and apparently it is very difficult) HIRE BETTER COPS/FIRE & FLAG INCOMPETENT COPS. All the training & procedural changes mean nothing if your employees don't give you anything to work with. It's like paining a torn canvas.
