Good riddance. His bungling not only certainly cost peoples lives but it also badly damaged the reputations and confidence in law enforcement in general when it comes to responses to mass shootings. Not to mention serving as an enabler to the gun nuts and the arm the teachers crowd who are convinced that law enforcement can't protect them.
And what was "dumb" about my post @shootER
This is a stupid attempt to make the public feel like someone is paying for this.
A cop armed with a handgun is really in no position to go take out a shooter like he is in die hard. The initial responding police should be involved in getting as many people to safety as possible and doing what they can to secure safe routs out and get as much recon info as possible. They should be communicating and establishing the best possible beginning for the tactical team to get there and if they get a shot take it.
this is not the time to play Rambo. These are school officers with no real tactical training and no real support for an offensive operation, I do not blame these school police for not charging at a gunman who had superior firepower and was in an unknown position. Tactically you have better things to do to mitigate loss of life and injury. Yes, that does mean your initial focus is not necessarily killing the gunman.
The tactical team that will go after the gunman will be SWAT. The police are there to secure the area and organize EMT response to safe areas, and keep those areas secure. Yes this means the human will potentially wander around looking for more victims while the assault is prepared. This is why lockdown procedures should be enhanced and made better.
If they can find fault in how the police handled the established procedures then you need to determine if it was training or the officer. However firing the police because the public wants them to run in like squids trying to shoot the shooter is stupid.
Oh, and if anyone wants some ways to save lives we could start by taking guns down to the bare minimum in society and stop flooding our streets with weapons of death. As long as the guns are out there like this you are going to have to face the fact that the killers are going to get a body count while a proper and safe response is planned.
@Dayton3 if you really are a teacher in a school, which I really doubt, do me a favor. If your school ever does have an active shooter go be that hero and be rambo and go kill the shooter. The world will lose nothing of value when you get wasted.
@Federal Farmer should play hero too.
Policy is to lock the classroom door and move out of the door windows line of sight. I actually agreed with the first several paragraphs of your post up thread but couldn't agree with all of it due to the anti firearms diatribe at the end.
And I guess you didn't know that more than a few members here have gone to my various schools websites and confirmed my position (and salary as that is a state requirement).
I have heard that. I have also seen that when it comes to you a certain shroud of lies seems to be evident. Weren't you the one caught assuming another person's identity and pretending to be some sort of park ranger over at trek BBS? Then I saw you claiming to be a science teacher over on politicalforum.
Your main fanboy is dead, and I know how things get distorted around here.
Not that my belief even matters. You could be president trump and you are still a degenerate moron.
Yes, that was him.
He actually used a picture of a real park ranger as his avatar and professed to seeing nothing wrong with groping girls without consent, effectively labeling that real park ranger a sex offender. People there who actually do work in law enforcement contacted the authorities in the US with his posts given how open his alter ego was about being a sexual predator in a uniform, not sure what replies they got.
But you don’t understand.
Jesus would’ve done exactly the same thing.
Just because I am familiar with the statute @Dayton3 should be really careful with that sort of thing. Using someone else's real world identity is called identity theft. It is a felony. I would imagine impersonating a police officer is also a crime. You might want to tone some of that sort of thing down. It is one thing to pretend to be a teacher or some regular job, but you are not supposed to use real people, and you are not supposed to pretend to be law enforcement.
Well, he only pretended to be god. Actually, pretending to be god is legal in America where pretending to be someone you are not or a police officer is not.
Simply using someones picture available online in a google images search is not identity theft. The name and background details were of my own creation. And it was a Wildlife Officer by the way.
Well, I would be careful with all that, but you are a science/history schoolteacher, wildlife officer, corrections officer from someplace in Arkansas which is not norphlet or it is norphlet. I am sure you are right. I am sure some town in Arkansas that is or is not norphlet has a great football team because of you. It is probably just as true as you getting into laser battles in space captain dumbfuck.
There is one thing we know for sure about you @Dayton3 , and that is you are an astounding village idiot that only performs for us. For some reason you cannot reproduce this fame elsewhere. That is actually pretty interesting in a very small way.
Dayton can absorb this level of assault on his ego like an amoeba and be energized. It is what he does and what he lives for. He is an interesting creature full of internal conflicts and self loathing.
Not likely. Norphlets high school closed and its students were sent up the road to Smackover a few years ago. Insufficient numbers. They did win the AA state championship in girls basketball in 2013 and the state title in baseball in 2003.
There's a town called Smackover?
That's almost as good a place name as Wankum or Shit
Smackheads still outperform Norphlettes in several key metrics.
There are some interesting signs out there. I remember always laughing because Shamokin was on the same sign with potsville in PA.
There is actually a small town in Arkansas named "Dayton". Amy and I stopped there once so she could make my picture in front of the town sign.
I drove through Flippin a while back. There wasn't much there at the time, but I heard now they've got a Flippin Walmart.
Separate names with a comma.
