A signal from Proxima Centauri has scientists wondering if maybe... A narrow beam of radio waves was detected over a period of 30 hours in April and May 2019 by the Parkes telescope in Australia, according to The Guardian. The researchers studying the wave emission have not yet been able to identify any Earthly origin, whether a satellite in or something on the ground. As a result, scientists at the Breakthrough Listen project — an organization based at the University of California, Berkeley that searches for radio signals from intelligent extraterrestrial life forms in the universe — believe that the radio signal could originate from extraterrestrial intelligent life.
Yeah, conditions around Proxima are not great. Red dwarf, lots of flares and radiation . . . Unless it’s an ET relay station, it’s not likely to be indigenous life.
How many times have we seen it in research papers? "Further study is needed".... But seriously folks, it's worth following up. I have to doubt it's any kind of ET (extraordinary claims and all that) but proving it isn't will probably turn up something else worth knowing.
Those damn homosapien freaks are takin' over the world I tells ya! Ya can't swing a dead cat without hitting one in the big cities these days.
ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS EXCEPT PROXIMA CENTAURI ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE USE THEM TOGETHER USE THEM IN PEACE
