AAAHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!
The Truth is finally starting to come out.
What? Straight or Gay, some marriages just don't work. We're all human beings after all.
What's your point here?
What truth? This one?
Steve some folk dont know how to read.
Twisting a lie isn't truth.
It's rather a bitter irony. Now gay people are fully equal with straight people, to have rotten marriages as well.
Gay or Straight, relationships fail. One man's perspective isn't the truth, more than likely, it's his fault the relationship failed.
Just from what I've read, the man seems like a real diva.
No surprise here.
At least I'm not surprised it failed. Its not 'natural.'
How natural something is has nothing to do with a marriage failed.
Look at the amount of heterosexual couples that have failing marriages now, honestly, I don't think it's any different.
People will get married because they think they're in love and wanna spend the rest of their lives together; then they realize what a shithole they've gotten themselves in.
GOD HATES FAGS!!!!!
People get married for all the wrong reasons each day.
Being gay is one of them.
I'm not saying its 'bound' to fail because its not natural.....but BECAUSE it isn't natural....it will likely fail.
And that has nothing to do with 'normal' people's marriages failing too.
It happens in nature. This makes it natural.
A guy who just got divorced is saying marriage doesn't work?
Nature can't function that way.
Therefore it is not natural.
The last few thousand years suggest otherwise:
I could have sworn nature functioned because a male and a FEMALE reproduced to continue their kind.
Not a male and a male.
Well it apparently is functioning that way since it's, well, functioning.
How do galaxies have sex?
And nature seems to function just fine despite some percentage of males and females choosing to not reproduce, but to engage in same-sex relationships.
... We've had this discussion before. I'm sick of hearing this crap from you, regardless of whether you believe it or are just trolling.
So die. Die in a fire.
May you be raped by Martha Stewart's foot, given AIDS by a Taiwanese hooker, and eat out Michael Moore's third chin.
A very small percentage.
Which indicates that it is not normal.
Born that way? Perhaps....but I wonder if it isn't a result of their surrounding. If you're 'born' that way, why isn't EVERYONE born that way? Why only a small percentage.
Again, it is not normal.
Its functioning because of 'normal' relationships and animals reproducing.
Not because of same-sex relationships.
I don't like getting involved in these anti-intellectual shouting/insulting matches, but I feel like contributing a few thoughts anyway:
One person generalizing from his particular experience is the most limited anecdotal evidence there could be. How can that possibly justify a general conclusion like "Gay marriages don't work"? How about if we ask Mostlyharmless to add his anecdotal evidence? Would that "prove" the opposite conclusion?
"There is a lot of promiscuity in the gay community." Yeah, I'm sure there is. But if that is going to mean that "gay marriages can't work," then what about straight marriages? I know there is a lot of promiscuity in the straight community as well.
The argument that "It happens in nature so it is natural" is very weak. For one thing, it is based on deliberately confusing two distinct meanings of "natural" ("occurs in nature" and "normal"). Siamese twins are "natural." Severe mental retardation is "natural." Babies that die at birth are "natural." If homosexuality is to be in any way shown to be normal, it must be done so on the basis of something other than "It occurs in nature."
True. I was just nitpicking.
So something has to be normal in order for it to be natural?
What percentage of people are redheads, or Americans, or rich?
Does that mean they're not "natural?"
Anyways, how do you define "normal?"
I guess in a way I'm saying the wrong thing.
Down Syndrome is natural...but not normal.
Being gay is also not normal. Not reproducing and continuing mankind is not normal. I don't care what anyone says.
Also, the mere fact that you're not reproducing makes it unnatural. But its tough to say that about being 'gay'...as we really have no idea if people are 'born' that way or not.
Frankly, this argument always surprises me a bit when anyone other than Baba makes it, because it and its close cousin, the argument about how gay sex leads to disease, are, at their hearts, arguments that we should all be lesbians.
How do you feel about space travel?
How do you feel about flying?
About genome restructuring?
About using artificial organs to save lives?
About mankind living decades longer through gradual chemical adjustment.
These things are not natural.
Man was never meant to go beyond the sea of sky.
Man was never meant to fly without falling.
Man was never meant to change his own structure in such a way.
Man was never meant to defy nature's edict.
Man was never meant to stave off death another decade.
Mankind defies nature all of the time.
You're asking the wrong question.
You're saying "how is it natural?"
You should be asking, "how is it moral?" or "how is it ethical?"
Being gay isn't a biological issue, it's a social issue.
The question of "What is acceptable in society, and what isn't?"
It is the truth.
