I'm not staying in a place where the owners use dead children pictures to push their political agendas.

I haven't seen an owner do that here.

In general, people who want to leave simply scramble their password. I've never known an owner or admin to delete an account, or at least I don't remember that happening.

Based on going and catching up on the thread, I assume you're talking about John, who is the tech admin. The owners, unless I'm forgetting a change somewhere, are Anna, shootER, gul and evenflow.

Indeed. I just make things go, I don't own the place by any stretch.

Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals - never let a crisis go to waste. Whether one finds it distasteful or not, it's effective.

No, Demiurge, we aren't in the business of deleting accounts, because someone's sensitivities got offended in the goddamn red room. Scramble the password if you're serious.

I gotta say....THIS is the final straw? After the years of abuse when Tamar was pulling the strings, THIS is what you're leaving over? :wtf:

Demi threw a hissy when someone used a South Park version of Human Centipede for their AV.

I'd say you're a pathetic, sensitive little snowflake if I didn't think this just came across as a lame excuse to me.

Yes, but that's a bit different from what this thread seeks to discuss. Surely a cartoon series isn't the same as images of a dead child? I find the comparison distasteful.

That said, I don't find the OP's argument with any merit. I don't see how it is political point scoring to be concerned about human beings suffering. While there may be disagreement over how to deal with the crisis, I find it it disturbing that someone thinks it's just about politics to give a shit.

He's an habitual malcontent. This isn't the first time he's stomped off in a huff, but I don't recall there being so much drama about it previously.

I don't see the big deal. Aside from 20 years of separation (and thus no responsibility) what's the difference between that photo and the Pulitzer Prize winning girl and vulture?

Or is it not the 20 years, but the fact that the child looks just white enough to make it 'real'?

Oh wait. Is this all about the Ailan picture? Which went all around the world three times before anyone on Wordforge even touched their keyboard? If so, is @Archangel going to quit the rest of the online world as well?

It was probably the idea that the richest country in the world, a.k.a. the World's Policeman When It Chooses to Be (shout out to Donald Rumsfeld) might have been in a position to help these refugees but, well, Reasons.

@Archangel doesn't really buy in to the whole responsibility thing. Unless it's a fetus.

He'll be over at TK whining about it any minute now.

Well, the TK version of Dayton's banning is ... entertaining.
