It came that close because my device was working. Had a breaker blow at the crucial moment, tho. :diacanu:

It was the size of a football field and would have caused a nuclear level explosion.

    So it was the....nuclear football?

I'm in the proof-of-concept phase, hoping to attract more government funding along with more asteroids. All ya gotta do is tell the orange moron that you're looking to bring the rock down on some brown people . . .

Would this asteroid attractor work on the moon? I mean, if you're going to make stuff collide with Earth why not do it right?

Too big. The ray requires a solid mounting on the Earth and the moon's mass would rip it right out into space. Tractor beams still obey the "for every action" law.

    Hmm...

What if you were to mount the ray on Mars and reverse the polarity so it pushes the moon instead of pulling it?

Oh, wait, the inverse square law...

Dammit, there's got to be a way to destroy the whole planet in one go!

My ultimate hope is to set up a billiard effect where manageable sized rocks hits a bigger one, which hits a giant one, which hits Earth. Then you fuckers will be happy.
