Cool, Will Smith's going to be the genie.
Too bad we don’t get Robin Williams.
Hmm. I don’t get the point of remaking their animated classics in live action with the exact same scenes and the exact same story.
(Of course money is the reason but I mean creatively...)
At least put a new spin on the tale, like they did with Maleficent. I thought that was an interesting take on a classic fairy tale.
The ‘whole new world’ magic carpet ride is such an iconic scene... I wonder how it will compare in live action?
But will Aladdin tell the princess to take off her clothes in this version?
There's more freakin' CGI in those Disney "live action" movies than actual live action.
It's basically just remaking an animated film with updated animation, and a few shots of some live actors thrown in for shits and giggles.
Also, the original politically-incorrect version of Aladdin will obviously always be the better film.
Hell, even Disney started chopping out the bad bits for the home video releases.

In the pooper.
Will Smith Genie revealed.
What, pretty-boy didn't want to wear the blue makeup?
Lol, no matter what it was, people were gonna bitch.
I can’t wait for my 5 year old to drag me to this shit.
Is Disney confusing Indian culture with Arabian?
Just saw the remake.
Will Smith is the Genie, much like Mark Hamill, Jack Nicholson, and Heath Ledger are the Joker.
I'd say this comes close to surpassing the original material, not so much for the changes made (indeed, what changes there are are usually additions and alterations to include the additions), but for how 'alive' Agrabah now feels. And to be fair to the animated original, that Agrabah did a good job of that, but the remake turns it up to 11 (sadly, that line of Iago's didn't make it into the remake).
Mena Massoud as Aladdin trying to be Prince Ali was hilariously awkward.
Naomi Scott as Jasmine was perfect.
Not according to the audience score.
Aladdin surpassed "Independence Day", making Aladdin Will Smith's greatest hit.
