Anybody else here watch this show? I searched the forum, but didn't find any threads on it. I caught it over the summer when TNT reran the series and, starting tonight, they're doing another run of the first season to build up to the start of season 2 in late November.

I liked it a lot. The three lead actors (Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher) all do a pretty good job and I enjoyed the stories.

I watch it regularly. It can be a little over the top on occasion, but generally I quite enjoy it.

My son was watching it, and I caught an episode or two. It was pretty good.

I'm glad Scott Bakula can prove to those who only knew of his work through Enterprise rthat he's capable of actually *acting*

Let's not get too crazy here.

He is playing an out of work actor. ;)

If anybody's still watching this besides me, this explains why they decided to split the second season in two parts (mild spoilers at the link). At first I was pissed that they did it that way but, after reading that, I can see why they did it.

Plus, it's something to look forward to this summer.

Backula can act like most actors can act - within a certain fairly limited range, he's very enjoyable - but only a small percentage can range all over the spectrum and still be compelling performers.

A couple of episodes back, they had David Newsom (who played Sam Beckett's brother, Tom) play the brother of Bakula's character in Men of a Certain Age.

I've watched an episode or two. Will say it's very real...almost too real. It's like being at my brother's house when his friends are around.

But has Ray Romano ever spoken a single line of dialogue that didn't begin with "Yeah, no, uhhhhh..."?

    It is a good show.

I think Braugher and Romano are carrying Bakula though.

The thing about Bakula is as has been said, he is playing an out of work actor which should be no great stretch.

In regards to Enterprise, I think many fans had elevated expectations of him because of his work on "Quantum Leap".

My wife and I have been watching DVDs of Quantum Leap. Let's be honest, Bakula had to do very little acting in the series. The way the series is set up, all Bakula had to do was act confused and disoriented most of the episode and then clumsily adjust toward the end. Of course that is what was called for.

I like the humor, but that will only carry it so far. Too tedious for me. I can take grim and depressing, but there's gotta be some action in there once in awhile. Take Rescue Me, for example.
