Well, assuming no time travel/Nexus involved, she doesn't seem to have aged from the Wild West to 2360-odd. And Q said he'd had dealings with her around two centuries ago.

I vote for the "Airbender" tone - don't talk down to the kids. and don't do comedy

    Character breakdown for Picard series.

    – Connie. Early 30s African-American woman. Mercenary pilot and widow with a bounty on her head.
    – Lawrence. Early 30s man. A thief with a dodgy moral compass, and Picard’s pilot for a mission.
    – Starton. Early 30s man. A positronic brain specialist terrified of space travel.
    – Dr. Smith. Holographic crewman. Programmed to avoid becoming too self-aware.
    – K’Bar. Late teenage male Romulan martial artist extremely devoted to Picard.
    – Indira. Early 20s woman. Smart, agile but socially inept and immature.
    – Alana. 40s-50s woman. Former intelligence officer – analytical, paranoid, substance abuser.

So far, does not sound good. I hope they bring back Vash, she could serve most of these roles.

So, have they cast Prince Charming yet? Or will that be Q?

Why would Picard need an expert on positronic brains? :chris:

(Rhetorical question but it's a bit of a spoiler that either Spiner is involved or Picard's mission means getting hold of some info from Data, B4 or another Soong-type droid... or one of the crew is secretly a droid)

Ooh! Unless resolving Picard's Irumodic Syndrome meant fitting his noggin with positronic components! Bashir did that to Bareil in DS9, albeit for different reasons.

Sounds like Picard and a group of interesting characters on a quest of some kind. Why the positronic brain specialist? Are we looking for some long-lost creation of Dr. Soong?

Probably something to do with B4 or Data. Maybe their trying to bring Data back. I know, wrong franchise, but I have a bad feeling about this.

Picard is interested in archaeology, with speculation that the new series may involve that...

That's a really interesting concept and could even save them a couple of bucks on a set. Have Discovery come across some random thing, not really recognizing the significance, then Picard returns there 150 years later.

Casting news confirms some of the role breakdowns - specifically the characters Cabrera and Hurd are playing, plus a third actor announcement:

Dunno why they think Evagora's role is mysterious as he's pretty damn obviously the Romulan kid with the martial arts thing - I mean just look at him!

He's probably another one of Spock's bastards.

That's why Spock let Romulus fall, you know. He was trying to save a shitload on child support. :vulcan:
