From the planet Cybertron, and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.”

I'll care when they reboot the franchise and make a proper Transformers movie.

If you really want to see some good Transformers check out the 90s Beast Wars series or the more recent Transformers Prime series.

Both are worthy successors to the original Generation One era.

Don't expect anything from these Bayformer movies.

Yep, take the pilot and finale to Transformers Prime, and there's your good modern TF movies.

The thing that sucks the most about the Bayformers is that the bots don't really have individual personalities. They are just caricatures or very one dimensional. The human characters are more of the focus.

Not that Generation One was quality story telling but at least the bots had more personality and some consistent characters traits.

Look at the relationship between the big three Decepticons. Soundwave was unfailingly loyal to Megatron and Starscream was always trying to betray Megatron. They were able to make good use of that dynamic in multiple episodes.

And that was just a kids cartoon meant to sell toys. Yet there are no well defined relationships like that in any of the new movies. At least among the Cybertronian characters.

2007 was the first one, IIR and they've increasingly gotten worse where as the MCU began in 2008 and has increasingly gotten better and both franchises make a ton of money. It just shows who gives a shit about fans and who doesn't.

I wish I'd known to hold out for a WFC Megatron, he looks much better the original Seige version.

It's not Optimus Prime without Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime.

Agreed, but Cullen is getting on in his years and at some point there's going to have to be a transition to a new voice actor.

I'm still sad that Sterling Holloway couldn't voice Pooh for essentially forever.

I would usually tend to agree, but he's been the voice of Prime since I was pretty much a kid. So hearing any other voice as Prime just sounds wrong and doesn't fit in. There's just certain things that work, and Cullen as Prime is one of them.

Anyone catch the new episodes? I watched a few last night and I thought it was an improvement over the last season, though it did get a little trippy at times.

I haven't gotten around to it yet, but the new Kingdom figures are excellent.
