okay - I live near Augusta GA, Eastern Standard Time. It is currently 8:51 PM EST as I post this. My phone is stuck on 7:51 which is Memphis TN time (Central Time Zone) where I was visiting. When I go to "World Clock" under tools it claims that my phone does indeed display Eastern Time, but yet claims the time is 7:51 which is (obviously) incorrect. My wife's phone (another brand of phone) did indeed adjust back to the correct time.
    Any thoughts?

yes! That worked - thanks. But what doesn't make sense is the phone reflected being in EST (versus CST where I was visiting earlier in the day) yet gave the actual numerical time as CST.

No problem, it happens, two weeks ago we went from Georgia to Alabama. Both of my phones changed the time correctly going there and back. My mom's phone also did. My sister's personal did, but her work phone did the same thing yours did. Told her to do the same thing.

It's one of those "this program updates at one time, while this other program updates at a different time" things.

but listing your time zone as EST while simultaneously saying it is 2:00 PM when it is clearly 3:00 PM (in the EST zone) is like this example:
THE COLOR GREEN IS USED TO TYPE THIS SENTENCE when obviously it is not. Regardless, now I know how to fix this glitch next time.
