I know you can act all cynical and not caring and shit, but we know you still have fucks to give.
Being better paid does not change someone's honesty. Those who are willing to accept bribes will always be willing to accept bribes. The only thing that being better paid does is make bribes more difficult because it takes a bigger bribe to get anywhere.
Don't mistake caring for niavete.
Expose someone to enough vile shit and they go one of several ways.
Mine is to choose to see the best in people because I'm way too familiar with the worst.
I have just learned to enjoy the feeling of my own piss blowing back in my face on the wind. It is much better than actually trying to find good in people.
I just like the taste personally.
Absolutely agree. But at least in Hillsborough County, the bribesters are a bunch of cheapasses who resent having to pay minimum wage. Every little bit helps. And as I say, there haven't been any corruption scandals for over 30 years. Doesn't mean there's no corruption of course. Just no scandals.
you do realize that wordforge has gun owning liberals, correct? If you didn't, consider yourself informed about wordforge having gun owning liberals. Carry on!
I don't own a gun, but that's more because I'm more worried about shooting myself in the foot (or more sensitive areas) than because I'm opposed to personal gun ownership.
One does not discount the other. False analogy. Try again.
so you support the double standard? Conservative = guntard liberal = responsible gun owner
what's the hurry? Oh that's right, Harris takes over on 22 January.
I'm a responsible non gun owner.
Nancy Pelosi has instituted a $5000 fine for not going through the metal detectors, and $10,000 for the second (and one assumes each additional) time.
And it comes out of the person's salary, so they can't bilk their constituents or donors.
No. I think guns should be well regulated. Regardless of who owns them.
I'm giving this one a pass because I partially wonder if Taylor believes this
But if you believe it...
1) what happens when their paycheck is exhausted? I imagine it's illegal to pay them less than minimum wage.
2) they'll still be able to con money our of their constituents ("Crazy Pelosi is taking YOUR tax money! Help me get it back and I'll match your donation!")
1.) Pick cans up on the side of the road with a trash stabber, and take 'em to the recycler.
good point, and true enough there are irresponsible non gun owners as well - smart ass.
But narrowing our focus to only gun ownership Tererun seems to singling out conservatives gun owners as "guntards" knowing full well that wordforge has liberal gun owners too.
Thus a full gun ban involving door-to-door mandatory confiscations could be problematic (at first look) if the goal is to disarm only conservative/right wing gun owners.
I know there is some extent to which campaign funds can be used for personal expenses -- which is, in many cases, how people who aren't independently wealthy are able to take the time for a congressional campaign in the first place -- but if they go too far with (2), the FEC will have a word with them. (And presumably Biden will give the FEC its fangs back soon enough.)
Your entire thesis is . Gun confiscation is not going to happen in any future that seems likely to happen. Of course, I'm sure the rioters/insurrectionists and their sympathizers in Congress would be happy to take them away from the "wrong" people like BLM and the imaginary Antifa. It's amazing how the guntards and their enablers are so eager to believe confiscation is right around the corner when the Obama experience should show that it's nothing but scare tactics from the gun industry.
As far as I'm aware,Anc is the only gun-ownling liberal, and he doesn't make it his entire personality to defend the 2A.
I'm a liberal and I've seriously considered buying a gun. Friend of mine, another liberal, just finished her classes and is (last we spoke) deciding which gun she wants.
Dude that tried to stop Kyle Rittenhouse was a liberal and he legally and lawfully was carrying that night - unlike Rittenhouse.
The issue isn't guns. It's who has access to them.
Yes, but he's a soulless ginger abomination, so we make allowances.
People from New England have no business calling anyone soulless.
I've seen your food.
I'm not from New England.
There are liberal guntards.
No, it's guns.
They'll be considering new careers?
I'd have thought they could spread it over multiple payments in that case, but it would leave the offender impoverished in either case.
Ran into a Latina on Reddit who married into a West Virginia family. Said her husband had literally no idea what a fresh clove of garlic looked like as nearly everything he'd grown up eating came from Campbell's and Kraft boxes. The family flat out would not touch the cranberry chutney she made for Thanksgiving, opting for the soulless blob outta the Ocean Spray can.
I am trying to be more racially sensitive for Lanz's sake, so I will not make any jokes about aversion to seasoning here.
