Usually I'd bbq but I am in the mood to try something a bit different. Vons had a heck of a sale on "St. Louis style pork spare ribs" for just $0.99 per pound so I picked up two packs. Does anyone know a good way to cook these beyond the traditional bbq?

Not a huge fan of St. Louis style ribs. They're rather difficult to cook evenly.

That's part of the reason why I barbecue only that cut. They're more challenging than babybacks.

See if you can find the Good Eats episode where Alton makes ribs in the oven. During a time when I didn't have a proper barbecue pit, I tried that recipe and it turned out pretty well.

Throw them in a heavy duty ziploc bag with sauce and spices, and punch the bag twice a second for 36 hours.
