I am a contributing writer to a baseball blog under the umbrella of Baseball Prospectus
As such, all the writers jointly share subscription access to source material sites like, in the case of this question, Baseball America.

My name is not the primary name on the account so I cannot seek support advice for this question so I'll ask it here.

Everytime I try to click on a paywall protected article, the BA site blocks me and says "you cannot continue because you are using a private browser window"

    Except...
    I'm not.

    How do I fix this?

    (BTW: Firefox Quantum)

Do you have your browser set to reject cookies? I'm trying to think of what characteristics of a private browser window the site could be recognizing, and that's the first one that came to mind.

This might seem blindingly obvious and all manner of patronising, but have you tried a different browser?

What extensions do you have? Privacy Badger, for example, has been known to trigger that warning on occasion.

nope, I checked all that obvious stuff in the settings. At some point I'm going to try visiting in Chrome and see if i get a different result but it's tedious to change browsers for one job

If you have third party cookies enabled, have no extensions blocking sites (that includes ad blockers), and aren't in a private browsing window, all I can think of is you have tracking protection enabled.
