    He was 85.

Millennials and Gen-Zers will remember him as the "diabeetus", guy, but he was in....everything in the 80's.

Film roles included “Cocoon,” “The Thing,” “The Natural,” “The China Syndrome,” “The Firm,” “Hard Target,” “In & Out,” “My Fellow Americans,” “Absence of Malice,” “Tender Mercies,” “High Road to China,” “10 to Midnight” “The Electric Horseman”, and Diacanu favorite "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins".

TV work included “Ewoks: The Battle for Endor,” and “Our House” which was Wilford as the grandpa giving a stern lecture to his grandchildren's bullies, his daughters bosses, and generally anyone who dared cross his family in any way.
It was "get off my lawn", the show.
They seriously need to bring this back on one of the rerun channels.

    You will be missed, Wilford.

And as Penn Jillette likes to point out, Brad Pitt was 50 when he starred in World War Z.

Was it the right thing to do and the tasty way to do it?

Stupid brain, that is the top memory for him? He did so many other things.

I am going to go have some oatmeal and a cry.
Quaker Oats will always have the taste of sadness from now on.

OK, off to hell with me.

Wow. He's one of those actors that I thought he had already died.

agree! The Conan reaction to the clip is comedy gold! That said he was in a Seinfeld episode as the Postmaster General. Wilford appears at 1:20 or so.
