Illinois family blames unvaccinated in obituary after vaccinated woman dies from COVID-19
"She was preceded in death by more than 4,531,799 others infected with COVID-19," her family wrote. "She was vaccinated but was infected by others who chose not to be. The cost was her life."

They are a contributing factor.
She could have gotten it from another vaccinated person, it's true. Not as likely.
Either way, the unvaccinated are prolonging the epidemic and making more mutations likely.
I'm surprised to see 90% wearing masks here these days. Bubba's getting worried.
I guess they're getting tired of winning.
Video shows tourists attacking an NYC restaurant hostess after she asked for proof of COVID-19 vaccinations
There are no words, other than:
1. Fuck Texas.
2. If NYC allowed hostesses to conceal carry, this tragedy could have been averted.
Fuck them, give each of them a life sentence, no chance of parole/probation.
Back above 2000 deaths/day.
I have this friend who is getting bothered because hospital workers like doctors and nurses are being forced to get the vaccine. I am really trying to be nice because she is not normally this fucking stupid, but these are people who are doing work as per their own free will who are in a specific situation where they should all be vaccinated. If dumbass on the street wants to die I am fine with it. If some people who cannot vax die because of dumbass, I am still not going to force the vaccine on someone. But in a fucking hospital where people's immune systems and healing is taxed, fuck yeah you vaccinate the people there, and you also test them to make sure they are not carrying. On top of that you use PPE and sanitation standards that should be really fucking good.
It is a fucking hospital. Yes, I am ranting here because I really like this person over all. She is vaxxed and so are her kids. But she thinks forcing hospital staff to vaccinate is bad. This is where she finally dips into the crazy. For the whole time of COVID she was reasonable. She made the right choice. There was some complaining about Big Pharma and I could agree with that, but we are stuck in this situation where we have to take it because we do not want to get sick, and we are hoping these assholes made it right. Then the flood of anti-vax bullshit comes hitting me in the face.
Why the fuck are doctors and nurses not getting vaxxed? That should be the end of you practicing medicine. That should be a fucking sign you are too fucked up in the head to actually do the job properly. If I am contaminating somne motherfuckers skin, hair, or body by not cleaning my spa or hairdresser equipment properly then I lose my fucking license. If I do not understand the need for things like vaccines in close contact with the public, I cannot cut your hair or cook your food. Why the fuck are you allowed to be a doctor or nurse and not get basic infection prevention? Good riddance to these disease vectors.
It is not just the patient either. Despite my anger at idiocy, I really do not like the idea that I am going to kill a doctor or nurse by infecting them with COVID because they are too stupid to get the vaccine. No, you should not be there. Really, this is not the reason I give a fuck. really, fucking kill those doctors and nurses as a waste of flesh. However, you are a COVID spreading vector because we know you are a transmitter inside the clean place. This is why you need to have your body be fighting the disease and prepared as best as possible. We are not talking about something so experimental it could kill you or really damage you. The problems with the vaccine are treatable. If you are this stupid you cannot be a doctor.
We have to enforce our standards. If you are not aware of why a doctor, nurse, or staff at a hospital needs to be vaccinated you should not be a doctor, nurse, or staff at a hospital.
I sure as hell hope I don't get hit by a bus anytime soon.
If it were me doing the triage you would be way before any unvaccinated person with COVID. I would be kicking them out of ICU beds to die on the street if some other person who was not a waste of flesh were to need them.
Before any of the right wing assholes bitch I would have made sure there was a good deal of surplus equipment and preparedness for such a thing in the hospital system rather than relying on profit to dictate how prepared we were. But at this point it is the same bootstrap assholes who vote against being prepared because poor people might get care, so I am all for kicking them to the mass grave to gurgle their last breath. Be sure to infect your kin with your last cough without a mask.
As for the people with an ounce of common sense who are vaccinated and trying to live, I think they should be the first in line as they seem to appreciate life.
BTW I would put myself in the get the fuck out of the way crowd. It is not that I am not vaccinated and want to die, but don't save me for someone who wants to live and does not have hate issues with their body and the world.
Shame they won't lose Congressional seats over it.
I am pretty good with letting that one go. If a sign on a box truck is your go to medical advice I am pretty sure we can lose you and go on better than before.
The funeral home that owns the truck sure ca... oh, I just had to explain the joke.
I'm sorry... when did America become a universal health care system?
Because I'm pretty sure if you're rich or have gold-plated medical insurance in Idaho, you're just fine.
Huh. So Breitbart is straight-out admitting that their audience would rather die than miss an opportunity to "own the libs."
Satire is dead.
Sweet. I agree. The trumpers should totally get vaccinated to gain approval of the libs!
I'm not so sure. Unless there's some sort of secret medical complex for the ultra-rich hidden somewhere the risk is pretty much the same for everyone. During "normal" times Boise is in the gravitational pull of Salt Lake's medical/industrial complex when it comes to the most advaned care. I assume Pocatello would be oriented toward Denver, whilst the Coeur d'Alene region of northern Idaho steers the toughest cases toward Seattle. I'm sure that in terms of being able to find available help and being able to get to it, being rich would help. However, when I was critically ill a couple of years ago, I was at the St. Luke's Hospital in Meridian. They considered sending me to their Boise Hospital, which is maybe 10 miles away, but decided not to because they didn't think I would survive the trip. I shudder to think what would happen if I was in the same shape today.
Oh, on the latest episode of Harry Shearer’s Le Show podcast, he interviews a Pfizer exec who said that once they found out that their vaccine was effective, they bought a bunch of machines to produce it that cost $250 million apiece.
If these people were driving along and a kid jumped in front of them they'd claim there was an agenda somewhere and call it freedom to keep going.
Sometimes there's just no agenda, period.
There's just a very simple thing which takes a few minutes out of your life and doesn't give a shit who is making money or in political office.
Get the damn jab!
