Doesn't that guy know guns are illegal on school campuses, and that you can't carry a pistol in IL?

Shit dude, can you wait for the dead to be counted before you turn it into a 'we need guns everywhere, all the time' political argument?

This argument that if everyone carried guns on campus no school shootings would take place is getting tiresome.

First, kids who do this kind of shit, don't generally think through the consequences, are suicidal, or expect to die. Many want the attention. So what makes you think that the fact that everyone has a gun is a deterrent for a psycho loser kid to take his out and shoot some people?

Is your argument that he would die before anyone gets killed? Because we all know that's not true. Maybe your argument is that less people will die. That may be true, but hardly a strong enough justification for everyone to have access to guns at a school.

Personally, I'm not in the "Arm everybody and his dog" group, but it does seem that pretty much all of these shootings here lately have been in "gun free zones". What do you think that implies?

Who says everyone? Generally the argument is for those with permits to carry to have them.

Huh? The Yankees are going to be all about arms over the next decade or more. Hughes, Chamberlain, and Kennedy could be two top-of-the-league caliber starters and a pitcher most teams would gladly take as their number two for the next 15 years.

When was the last gun show massacre, BTW?

Bass Pro Shops shooting sprees? Anyone?

    Inside a Wal Mart?

    Bueller....

There is obviously a situational problem with gun free zones. Hell, Illinois is a strict gun control state. This shouldn't have happened. Yet it did. Are we to continue to bury our head in the sand in order to please your sensibilities?

Are you really trying to argue that these kinds of mass shootings don't happen in places where guns are popular like Kentucky, Virginia and Colorado?

Like Face said, these shooters aren't exactly rational actors. Even if guns were as popular as cell phones, suicidal shooters couldn't care less. They'd still take out a bunch of folks before they themselves were shot.

You addressed his aside, but not the crux of his post. The vast majority of mass shootings here recently, are happening in gun free zones, whether or not they're in gun friendly states.

Now I'm not saying that corellation equals causation, but I can't see just dismissing this fact out of hand like Face and Dan seem to be doing.

Next time a cop is shot and killed I'll be sure to tell his friends and family that it happened because he wasn't carrying a gun.

A case I worked on had the guy charged with 8 counts attempt murder, 2 counts murder among other things. All those counts were against cops. Allegedly, he went out to have a mass cop killing. Oddly he lived.

Your suggestion that if everyone had guns there would be no mass shootings has already been disproved.

He killed them all in one place? And that didn't make national news?

Show me where I suggested that.

When did I make that suggestion?

And yet my point that those seeking to massacre a large number of people pick known gun free zones is proven with every school and mall shooting.
