Nope, this isn't an old thread, or a nostalgia thread, its coming back with new episodes.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAAAAAY!
I have a really good feeling about this.
They're basically just finishing the stuff that was already recorded and part animated. Makes sense rather than just letting it sit in the vaults at Lucasfilm.
First off, don’t go ruining this for me
Second, I think it’s more than that.
I have a ton more to say, but I’m not going to go into it right now, anyway, this is wonderful news.
What's ruining it? Filoni was always planning to bring the show to an end by running everything up to the start of Episode III. Now he gets to do it.
Star Wars celebration panel with trailer and clip.
No one's ever really gone. You didn't ruin it. It's all good.
More eps with Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order? Rebels did a pretty thorough job finishing up her story, unless we need more of a reason why Anakin/Vader is surprised she's still alive after Order 66.
We do need to learn why Rex wasn't part of the 501st attack on the Jedi Temple - he removed his chip, sure, but Anakin would have surely wanted his best Clone officer with him?
Hey, side question, did they ever address why cybernetic replacements weren't an option following Kanan's blinding by Maul in the Rebels S2 finale? Sure, drama and leads him to a deeper understanding of the Force yadda yadda, but have they ever suggested cybernetic eyes are inferior or something?
Because they didn't know that JJ was going to do something as stupid as force healing so Kanan didn't know about it.
Literally just asking why he didn't get cybernetic eyes rather than staying blind. Didn't fucking mention Force Healing so no reason for you to except your own incessant need to piss on the recent trilogy's chips.
"Heal Self" and "Heal Other" were Force skills way back in the WOTC Star Wars RPG though, and the EU novels had "Jedi Healers", so don't put it all on JJ's plate.
They've kind of danced around whether cybernetic eyes are an option.
General Grievous was the most replaced cyborg in SW, and he had his original eyes.
In "Star Wars: Infinities", the Star Wars comics version of Elseworlds, Han lost his sight permanently in an Elseworlds of ROTJ, and then they gave him a Cyclops visor to see again.
But, that's de-canonized, and was an Elseworld within an Elseworld even before Disney wiped it out.
I can't think of any clear cut bionic eyes in the canon stuff.
Seems as though it should be possible though.
Lobot is a thing, and you'd think his mind-hacking would be able to scroll pictures, and that those pictures could be taken by droid eyes.
Seems an easy leap after that for optical implants.
Maybe eyes in SW are like dental in our world, they price it out of reach?
I always interpreted the forehead touch Obi-Wan does to Luke to wake him up after taking a clubbing from Tuskens as a mild form of force heal.
Canon no, but Wolffe had a cyber eye in Clone Wars after Ventress popped his original with her lightsaber. Couple of other examples in the EU.
Yeah, most likely option is that the Rebels were pushed for medical support - when Hera gets badly hurt in the first Mando ep, she's seen on a medical bed rather than in a Bacta tank...
Of course, Disney may have other reasons for not putting a shapely Twi'lek in her scanties in a Bacta tank.
BOTH "The Clone Wars" AND "Resistance" ARE apart of the OFFICIAL canonuity (canon & continuity) of STAR WARS yes?
I saw the first episode. The animation seems to have improved a lot. Episode was ok... I'm not a huge fan of the stories that focus on the clone troopers. I find them a bit dull. We already know how all that turns out.
Prefer the stuff like the Mortis Arc or episodes featuring Ahsoka, Maul, or Ventress.
Overall this is a pretty great show and easily the best thing to come from the prequel era... also the best, most likeable version of Anakin Skywalker.
I'm excited for where this goes. Obviously it's going to segue into EP III, and we'll probably get some vague tie-ins to The Mandalorian as well, given that both are Filoni's offspring.
The Clone Wars series was hit and miss for me; I've seen some of the arcs, but not all of them. This last season, however, I shall watch with great interest.
Clone Wars is, I don’t know about Resistance.
specifically, it's going on during episode 3 and may well take us into the immediate aftermath of Order 66.
I think we're going to see Ahsoka 's joining in the rebellion to prime us for her (and maybe Sabine's) live introduction on Mando. Probably at least one cameo by Kanaan as well.
Yeah, I think in the trailers wasn't there one scene of Kanan as a kid, as a Padawan?
missed that, but Padme is noticeably preggers...
