I can't wait.
Guess I gotta get around to watching Season Two now...
Lego my fucking Eggo, that was awesome!
Ope, dunno how I missed this.
11 looks badass.
Yup, totally binge watching this again before it is released. I have not been this excited about something on the fourth since independence day.
I know I watch too much anime because every time I see the sailor suit uniform I keep wondering why he is crossplaying a Japanese schoolgirl.
Looks pretty epic!
First episode is..........starting up the story and seems interesting.
I am not actually sure why, but the opening makes my fangirl heart go SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I have not been this excited for a show in ages
Fuckity fuck... I forgot it was released today. Would have watched that instead of other crap.
*Sniff* got something in my eye..
So 3 questions after finishing the series.
Well, if you had left the door open three inches like you were told this wouldn't have happened!
One little nitpicky observation.
Will is old enough now to get his hair done at the barber.
The piss-bowl haircut has to go next season.
I predict that assloads of people are going to be Youtube searching the Neverending Story song.
Trying to stretch this thing out. I hate killing a good series off too quick and then having to find something decent to watch.
Not quite a spoiler (or at least I doubt) but I have to say I have had those gaming groups that die when people get girlfriends. We used to joke in one of our werewolf/vapire groups about a guy named chuck. It was the time when goth was very popular and chuck was dark and brooding and always dressing in black, and he brought his girls over when he was gaming and would disappear every so often into the other room with his girl who was in the other room waiting for us to be done and probably sleeping. The running gag was that chuck used to fuck with ancient ninja technique (Naruto was not out yet so we didn't have jitsus.). He slip in, he slip out, she no notice.
The scariest part of this whole season was Jake Busey.
Also Mayor Dread Pirate Roberts was super punchable, he played that role way too well.
Jake is a good replacement for Gary. He does that crazy Busey face perfectly.
For those not reading the spoilers, @Tererun's post that I quoted included some speculation about the nature of the Upside Down and how parallel universes work.
I'm not even sure the Upside Down is a parallel universe. In the Upside Down, all the buildings are the same, except they're all apocalypseified, and maybe older. If it is a parallel universe, it was recently conquered by the tulip-face monsters and it's not their native realm, unless they built replicas of everything just to fuck with people.
I'm thinking the Upside Down might be an alternate future, where humanity failed to stop the monsters, but they were able to send information back in time, like how to build the giant rift cannons and create people like Eleven. So the Mind Flayer is all satisfied that he conquered Earth, but then time rifts start showing up and there's some girl with psychic powers on the other side who wasn't there the first time. That might explain why they don't just Zerg rush the portals every time they show up and there's only a relatively small number of the things ever outside the upside-down. The Mind Flayer is making the smallest effort possible to avoid fucking up the timeline too much.
Another possibility is that the Upside Down isn't an actual, physical place, and what people see when they go over there is a psychic projection. Kind of like how when Eleven does the clairvoyance thing the place that's all blackness with water on the ground isn't an actual place.
My time travel hypothesis might also explain
Although, I'm hoping it's not time travel, because that would present a very high risk of something like this happening:
Separate names with a comma.
