    But Trek was going to be moving to CBS for its final season. Perhaps the date is wrong and it was done to let folks know that the show was moving to CBS.

    Close. Gulf and Western bought Desilu and renamed it Paramount Television.

    The sale did take place in 1967 and Desilu ceased operations at the end of December.
