The kids seem excited. Is this movie even appropriate for that age group?
Her childhood is ruined!!!
Wait, not that, what's the opposite of that?
No, you have it wrong, Dicky. That girl's excitement has ruined your childhood. That's the key point to remember.
I have to go to Reddit to organize a troll campaign accusing positive critics with being paid off.
This will make me the good guy, because reasons.
I doubt the original, filled is a ghostly blow job scene, date rape jokes, and curse words probably wasn't appropriate for some of our age groups either.
I hope that young black girl doesn't look to Leslie Jones as an inspiration. That woman is such a terrible stereotype you'd think she was surgically blackfaced. Wouldn't surprise me if she had a signin and dancin number in the new movie.
13 whole hours for something horrible.
WF really is getting better.
From the reviews, it seems to be shit on stale toast.
Still fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
SW: TFA? fun, but crapish on reflection
Deadpool? Meh, tried too hard
Star Trek? Most likley crap
I swear, the only movie I enjoyed this year and didn't feel ripped off by was The Nice Guys.
So what was the point of opening another thread on this movie?
A suitable place for trolling it?
*Looks at the pic in the op*
Yeah, strangely enough, your fanboy ennui won't trouble my sleep in the slightest.
Cause Dicky still ain't done proving himself.
Seriously, he may be getting douches like Gul to back him up on him, but the butthurt is all his. I even said in the past few days that with the reviews as they are, if the main audience responds well I'll go and see it. But he's not interested in that. He's just the flip side of a hater. Hellbent on defeating any negative word come what may.
This thread is ridiculous, not because it's a troll thread, but because he's already been obsessively bumping the Media Central thread just to keep the discussion alive.
The most amusing part of all this is Dicky hasn't yet been to see it, so he's defending a movie as being great before he's even decided for himself. Like I say, flip side of being a hater.
Troll is gonna troll.
Well, as one of three women that still bother posting here, I love that girls today can have iconic characters they can look up to, the same as boys.
I look back to my childhood on the roles written for women, and outside of Disney, I'm coming up blank. Mind you, I was a 90s kid and part of the first generation of girls whose career choices weren't limited to secretary, receptionist, or teaching for the truly ambitious.
Between the more varied roles for women on TV and the aim of cartoons that write girl and women as actual people, it's a golden age for young girls' imaginations.
It's true, though.
We only have Faceman and Volpone to blame.
The obvious remedy is to ban Packard.
Of the ass.
It's 77 percent score is much higher than I thought it would be. I might just check this out later on.
It fluctuates between 76 and 79.
Right now it's 78.
I'm a little suspicious that it's running 78% with all critics and 48% with top critics on Rotten Tomatoes. A 30 point spread is a little hard to account for. We'll see if the 78% holds when more people start chiming in.
Still, critics can't tell you if you will like a movie, they can only tell you why they think you should or shouldn't. One of my favorite movies this year is rocking a 24% among top critics...
Nice straw man, but I have never once had any issue with this being a movie led by women.
I wasn't talking about you.
He finds that hard to believe.
Let me guess...BvS? I love that one too as well as Terminator Salvation and that got roasted by everyone.
I'm a huge fan of the Ghostbusters franchise so Im willing to give it a try even though I normally despise reboots.
Really liked the theatrical version and truly believe the extended version is a masterpiece of the genre.
(While I don't think Terminator: Salvation was by any means great, you're right that it got more roasted than it deserved. It was a serviceable--if not stellar--entry in the series.)
Feig/McCarthy have done well for me before (and Kristin Wiig? ), so I'm game.
I just saw someone online complaining that the new Ghostbusters movie sucks because three of the new Ghostbusters are from SNL.
