*Seven Of Nine stands vigilantly by a conveyor belt of junk, and grabs Gameboys, cellphones, calculators, and light bulbs (for the filaments)*

*Next to her is a discard barrel of candy wrappers, banana peels, and used condoms*

Talk about ethical dilemmas. A Private Little War just aired and is followed by one of my favorite TNG episodes, Lower Decks. What a heart breaking episode.

“Home Soil” is the most underrated S1 TNG episode. :bailey:

Oh yeah, that’s a good one. Season one gets a lot of crap, and I think it’s pretty much justified, it not all of the episodes are bad. Often times when I just can’t find anything I wanna watch on tv, I just watch a random episode of Trek, but most of the time it’s TNG.

I love Seasons 1 and 2 of TNG for their music. Before it was decided that the music was to become wallpaper rather than its own show characterization, it was nuanced and exciting.

You have to be kidding on the last. The final two episodes of Discovery are some of the worst Trek in history. Installing a genocidal Hitler figure as ships Captain and resting the fate of the universe in her lap - fucking absurd.

Saw Tim Russ on Supergirl tonight.

He was a Kryptonian council guy.
    And damn, he looked old.

Well, so did Robert Picardo on The Orville.

Well....its been 17 years since "Endgame".
    Damn...

True. As much shit as I give Voyager, TNG had a full first season that was entirely unwatchable. Even DS9's first season was the cure for insomnia. Voyager's worst sin was playing it way too safe but nothing their first season was near the level of stupid like Move Along Home of"We're Starfleet, we don't lie."

I FINALLY have H&I on my cable box  My cable company JUST added H&I to their channel listings. What a cool channel! It's great being able to see The Animated Series & Deep Space Nine again after SO MANY YEARS! "Past Tense Part II" was just on last night.

Yesterday’s Enterprise is on and it got me wondering, would it be hard to work on a twenty year computer and repair it? I presume it wouldn’t be for the right person. I mean it would be like working on one of those iMacs that were egg shaped. Also, the TNG uniforms must have been new when the Enterprise D was launched, does anyone have a timeline for when they changed from the TOS movie uniforms to the TNG uniforms? We know Picard and Jack Crusher wore them when they were younger, so there’s got to be a change that came shortly before Farpoint happened.

“Captain’s Holiday” — anybody ever notice Picard’s blatant racism in this episode? He straight up tells Sovak he doesn’t care about what he has to say because he’s Ferengi. Also that gratuitous punch after he’s already been disarmed. And then he just chucks the live weapon over the wall into the shrubbery? :wtf:

Assuming that Crusher's flashback to Picard telling her about Jack's death in "Violations" is accurate and not subject to the same weirdness as dreams, the switch happened sometime between 2348 and 2354. TNG started in 2364.

Obama was trouncing Jack Ryan pretty well in the polls even before the kinky sex stuff came out.

(It's amazing how tame that shit looks in the age of Trump...)

I always forget to bring this up, but Spock creeping on Janice Rand at the very end of “The Enemy Within” is pretty unfortunate. :( The sexual dynamics of that episode are interesting though. After she thinks she has been assaulted by Kirk, her main concern is that she doesn’t want him to get in trouble for it.

I’ve been watching some of DS9’s Occupation Arc on the channel recently.

Man these episodes were so good! So many characters and such great villains on this show: Dukat, The Founder, Kai Winn.

This was pretty epic stuff at the time. And it’s funny because they play voyager and then enterprise episodes right after DS9 and the contrast in quality is so jarring.

I really wish they would go back and remaster DS9. Maybe someone should start a crowdfund to see if there would be enough interest to make it worth it.

By the way, apparently Terry Farell is married to Adam Nimoy? Strange. But good for him. She’s a MILF for sure.

I was going to start another thread, but I think this is more appropriate because I am watching Enterprise on H&I right now. I don’t watch every episode every day, but I do tend to keep up with it a few days a week. Enterprise may not be great, but when they are good, it’s good. One thing I really like is the T’Pol/ Archer chemistry a lot better than the T’Pol/ Tucker chemistry. I think it was a mistake to pair Blalock and Trineer together. I think it would have been better to have character development between Archer and T’Pol and his feelings towards Vulcans and have Tucker more of the McCoy type character.

Also, Beter Call Saul proves that a prequel series can be done and done right. Suck it B&B. Also, Also, Cotto proved that Enterprise could have lived up to TOS by ending on a joke, yet they felt the need to not do that, but instead ended on needles threads that went nowhere in the end. Such a shame and wasted potential. Lastly Vince Gilligan was probably available at the time and was a respected writer...:ua:

Same goes for The X-Files revival. Sure he was doing Better Call Saul, but the schedule was staggered, why not at least call him and ask for his thoughts?:ua:
